Keaton's Firefly

Welcome one and all to my fanfiction.net profile!! Whatever odd path you have taken to get here, I hope you take a moment to maybe read a little and review!

I am a student who is old enough to have plenty of stories and young enough to still kind-of pass for a six-year-old (though this might be the case for the rest of my life- no complaints there, mates). I am currently studying to become a teacher with degrees in creative writing and music; I hope to one day have my own class of kindergarteners or third graders and to publish a book or two or three and to always continue in my music. Everyday life is my muse in writing but music seems to have a particularly strong effect. I enjoy rain, marshmallows, music, cuddling, teaching, and learning new things about anything and everything. :)

Favorites:

Music- I've lately been on Pandora (internet radio) a ton and enjoy confusing it inadvertentlly. I love The Goo Goo Dolls, Lifehouse, Vanessa Carlton, Matchbox 20, lostprophets, Gin Blossoms, New Radicals, Maroon 5, Jason Mraz, Matt Nathanson, video game music (primarily songs from Zelda, Final Fantasy, Kingdom Hearts, and Donkey Kong), Posthumus, Vivaldi, Middle Eastern music (primarily Indian), and others.

Video games- Zelda (Ocarina of Time, Twilight Princess, and Majora's Mask in particular); Final Fantasy VIII, X, and X-2 (even though it is a bit cracked up); Kingdom Hearts; etc.

Books-My particular favorites are Eddings' the Belgariad, the Mallorean, and the Elenium; Artemis Fowl series; the Harry Potter series; the Animorph series; Faerie Wars; Howl's Moving Castle; etc.

Manga/Anime- Lovely Complex, DNAngel, Ouran High School Host Club, Tsubasa: Reservoir Chronicles...

Movies- Miyazaki films, August Rush, Girl with a Pearl Earring, Slumdog Millionaire, Treasure Planet, Stranger than Fiction, etc.

TV Shows- Burn Notice, Psych, Monk, Doctor Who, Avatar, Danny Phantom, EurEka, House, M.D., etc.

Passions- Writing, teaching, music (violin and am currently learning voice, guitar, and piano), drawing, reading, Taekwondo, swimming, languages (am getting to be fluent in Italian, need to refresh my Spanish, and am hoping to learn Arabic, Gaelic, and Japanese) dancing, friends, and family.

THE GIST.

I have been primarily working on original stories at the moment, which is part of the reason there are cobwebs and spiders in the corners of this account. I do have several ideas however, and am working on one of them. This will be the section of the profile where I keep track of the progress (I will probably start uploading once I hit the fifth chapter of the fanfiction I am currently working on). Cheers!

A Bittersweet Fairytale: There is never just one side to a story. This is the Legend of Zelda told from the eyes of another, one removed from the story and yet inextricably intertwined. He is neither good nor evil. He moves through the world and allow the events that have to happen, happen. He pulls the strings and yet is powerless as to the outcome and cannot even protect and save the one he loves above all else. This is his story. (slight AU)

there is currently a few odd, brooding plot bunnies hanging out: post-Twilight story (Midna/Link) which (since I actually am still working on finishing the game) the major plot foundation was felled in one dreadful swipe of my sister's more complete knowledge of the Twilight game; a story centering on Tael from Majora's Mask (I find the character fascinating and endearing).

Thanks for reading!!
