It was brought to my attention that the note I had left here previously
could be perceived in a way that was far from my intentions. I meant for
it to be taken at face value, rather than to say anything about the
readers. Reviews with more detail than "Great job!" or "Update soon!"
are appreciated, but apparently I'm a complete failure at getting this point
across without offending someone, so
perhaps I should just keep my mouth shut on the matter and count my
blessings. (Thank you for not affirming this concept, I've kicked
myself more than enough for the whole of the site's patrons.)
I
wrote that note, what, almost half a year ago? My previous
assertions of considering the act and effort of posting not worth the
reward have been hence reassessed, thanks in due part to having read
another's assessment of their own sharing of art, and therein deciding
to continue.
I must apologize for any and all offense I've
unintentionally offered whosoever saw fit to read my note, and I hope
that I might reconcile with those that have decided that I'm a pathetic
waste of atmosphere. I'm actually fond of air, believe it or not, and
would kindly appreciate not being a burden on it.
I could go on
and on about apologies and remorse, but that seems pointless, given the
fact that you might not even consider my words sincere if I offer them
in too large a quantity. Although, it is not for the fact that I may
have offended someone with the note that I apologize. It is more for
duel reasons. First and foremost, when I left this site over five
months ago, I had copied and pasted all of the reviews for the fics
that I took down and saved them to a flash drive. It seemed a pity to
waste the fruits of the effort it must have taken to drag yourselves
through many a chapter I could have done with more fervor.
Unfortunately, in following a paranoia I have about my poor laptop's
hard drive crashing or melting or what have you, I saved over the
reviews while backing up my files, and did not realize I had done it
until the process was too late to reverse. I cannot emphasize how much
I still wish flash drives had recycle bins that files might be recovered from.
Secondly,
I wish to apologize for such a long absence. I have been of a mind to
return for a couple months now, but for various—perhaps pathetic, all things
considered—reasons, I haven't found the time. I have also intended to
rewrite many of my fics so that they are not such a pitiful sight to
behold, but that project has also been mercilessly put aside in favor
of such things as homework and sleep (and, to be honest, those things,
reading, writing, and attempting to make my iPod Shuffle more amiable
have been consuming all of my time at home for well over a month now).
So,
after I rein in my pitiful attention span, I will work toward
reposting some of the better fics and revamping the older, more
desperately flawed ones.
Although, knowing my luck, they'll be
so ostentatious that you'll get bored
reading them. •is shot•
