Author has written 24 stories for Buffy X-overs, Buffy: The Vampire Slayer, Lord of the Rings, DC Superheroes, StarTrek: Other, StarTrek: Enterprise, and Smallville. Hmmm...too many people are wondering who I am since my profile which just says writing fan fic and Australian isn't much detail as to what I'm about. Well I'm not published but I like to be and I treat my stories, the way I would treat anything that I intend to publish though I do need a beta. My current interest at the moment is Lord of the Rings, though I started out writing pure science fiction. I tend to attempt any genre just to see if I can do it. Sometimes I take on personal challenges, like writing a Legolas romance that doesn't sound like its been written by a hormonallly driven sixteen year old or a story set in modern times that has Legolas falling into someone's closet (shudder). I like writing in adherence to canon but will take poetic license on a few things. If I go into an AU, I go all the way but usually try not to go the route of Girl lands in Middle Earth...etc, unless of course I get hit by a vortex that actually sends me to Middle Earth and then I have to recant on principle. However, since that is unlikely to happen and I won't get there in time to save Boromir or sweep Leggy off his feet, I'll just stick to the Professor's take on Middle Earth. | |||||||||||||
