I've been writing since forever. I grew up in the Pacific Northwest, trekked out to the East Coast for a Library Science degree, and now I'm back in the Northwest. Took me about 8 years to come to my senses and come back where life is normal (or more normal). I read fan-fiction for fun. I'm more of a cheerleader than writer recently. So far I've submitted close to 150 signed reviews and only one short fic. Someday, someday the blocks around my creativity will fall down (even if it takes a sledge-hammer and me hacking them down) and the world will see my writing. Someday. I'm dreaming about that day.

4.5 years later. Update. Still working on life. Still reading. Still working on achieving the perfect career - in a library? in a college? as a technical writer? Oh the choices - they seem to hurt my brain! I think I've written over a thousand reviews now - not all of them profound, I admit. I do my best to inspire, though. My interests are wide and varied, and I was told once that until I picked apart someones story, they truly felt honored. That really threw me for a loop. I stopped reviewing for a while - I think my stint as an admin on a HP archive did a number on how I read stories - I started looking at: is the story believable, are the chapters a decent length, and are the characters consistant either with canon or within the story? Does the story possess internal integrity - if it deviates from canon, is the theme, plot, characters all true to internal mechanics - without a sudden zinger from left field?

I have taken too many writing seminars :head-desk-thunk: probably to the point where I don't even know what I am talking about:grin:
