Author has written 24 stories for A Nightmare on Elm Street, Secret Window, Van Helsing, Phantom of the Opera, Harry Potter, Rocky Horror, RENT, Brokeback Mountain, Labyrinth, Wicked, Digimon, Batman Begins/Dark Knight, and Supernatural. My name is Alex, and I consider myself a veteran of Fanfiction.net, of sorts. I've been hanging around here for quite awhile now, as you can see from the dates from my stories. I am currently in my third year of college, which has definitely impacted my writing in a way, unfortunately. God, I can't believe I'm a junior. I'm going to be out in the real world soon. Woe. I am trying to improve my "updating" skills. My current project remains "The Labyrinth," and I will try and make it my sole writing project for now. I may or may not indulge in some one shots now and then, however. And as of this moment, I am open to requests, but only for one shots. Just let me know through e-mail. (Note: I try and update when I can. I apologize that my updates are not very frequent. I realize that this is frustrating. However, "demanding" that I update soon is not going to make me update any faster. Just, fyi.) I am very inspired by music, as it is a large part of my life. Some of my favorites/major influences upon my writing include: Green Day, Muse, AFI, Augustana, the Avett Brothers, fun, the Format, Audrye Sessions, Billie Holiday, Regina Spektor, Tori Amos, Something Corporate, Jack's Mannequin, Sigur Ros, the Hush Sound, Melee, the Beatles, etc. I listen to just about anything, as long as the music is meaningful, and the lyrics are decent. I am also rather attached to the books that I read for inspiration. Little Women, The Birth of Venus, the Red Tent, Howl's Moving Castle, Hamlet, Atonement, the Killing Joke, Watchmen, and Harry Potter are just a select few of my all-time favorites. And as you can probably surmise from aforementioned list, I also happen to be a graphic novel enthusiast/comic book admirer, which is an unfortunate habit for a broke college student to have, I admit. As a lover of well-told stories, I'll read pretty much anything, so long as the story engages me, with one exception: the Twilight saga. Speaking of story telling, I especially love television shows as a means of creative expression as well. In particular, Supernatural is my favorite show currently on the air. I love the mythology they incorporate, and I really love the apocalypse storyline. I am especially excited to meet Michael, after this ridiculously long hiatus. Most of what I write for this fandom will probably focus on Michael and his relationship with Dean. Other shows I love: True Blood, Lost, Harper's Island, Glee, Pushing Daisies, Merlin, and Bones. As well as fanfiction, I also write original stories and poetry as well. Mostly poetry. Writing, in general, means a lot to me. I love my life as it currently stands. I'm at a critical point of it, and I know that I have some big changes ahead of me.
