Change of plans. It's looking like the "short little story" I was working on before my next challenge piece has become my challenge piece. Oops. I swear it is so hard for me to write short little stories.

Gearing up for another challenge just as soon as I finish the short little story I'm currently working on. This challenge is going to be an "inspired by the Where I Belong" challenge and my entry is going to have to be over 20k words long. I can write 20k no problem, I just don't know if I'll be able to end the story within the time frame allotted to me. We shall see. Wish me luck. :)

Woohoo!!! I did it! I finished two fanfics in a month, after not writing anything in four years! I forgot how good it felt to put stories out there. Now that I'm done with my contributions to the "Where I Belong" challenge I think I'm going to crash, sleep for ten or so hours (I wish), and then start trying to find all the entries I haven't read yet and get to it. Lots and lots of reviewing to do! :) When I'm done, I'm going to start chasing down the plot bunnies and outlining my next two stories. I'm really excited about both of them. Might even have to play through the game a bit to make sure I've got all my details right.

I posted the first chapter of my first story in more than four years today! I'd like to thank Ashbear for hosting the "Where I Belong" Challenge that inspired me, Ronin-ai for inviting me to join in on the fun, and Roarke Stratton for refusing to let me post anything until she'd proof read it! May God help me if she stumbles across my profile and realizes how many commas I've probably left out. ;)

I plan to have all three chapters of "To Be Her Knight" posted by tonight if not tomorrow. Then I'll be posting my second "Where I Belong" Challenge fic. Hope you enjoy!

Oh my it's been over four years since I've last submitted a new chapter. Time flies so fast once you grow up, move out and start your own family. lol I sincerely apologize to anyone that was reading any of my unfinished stories but I still haven't decided if I'm going to attempt to finish them or not. I need a little time to go back and reread what I have before I make that determination.

I do plan on writing a second version of Darkened Ice. I was never really that happy with how that story ended and have decided to take the revised version of that story in the opposite direction. I hope to get a good solid start on it by the weekend.

New Beginnings

All of my "New Beginnings" Final Fantasy VIII stories revolve around one another. You don't have to read one to understand the others, but if you read more than one, you'll notice the hints and references to the other fics. You'll also notice characters from the other stories making cameos. All of these stories were written shortly after I'd turned 18. They are by far not perfect, and some of them naive, but for the most part they're cute little pieces.

It all revolved around Rinoa's birthday. Finally old enough to be considered an adult, she can stop hiding out as a teenage runaway and explore the woman she wants to be. Little does Squall know that she has life changing plans for his future as well. Bridges will be mended and relationships will be healed. Takes place 8 months after the game. Written for the WiBi challenge.

Six months after they first met on the ballroom floor, Squall spends an afternoon planning the perfect surprise to show Rinoa how much she's appreciated. Irvine and Zell show up to lend a hand, and to keep Squall from catching the kitchen on fire. Written as a part of the "Where I Belong" challenge, the story focuses on Squall and Rinoa's budding relationship as a couple.
