10. Novembre 2005:
Okay, here I have something special for you. While studying today I stumbled over this definition in an Oxford Dictionary. I was... stunned. Did you ever wonder where "slash" came from?
Quote: a genre of science fiction, chiefly published in fanzines, in which any of various male pairings from popular films or books is portrayed as having a homosexual relationship. The term, which refers to an oblique printed stroke / used between the adjoining names or initials of the characters concerned, seems to have originated among fans of the 1960s science-fiction series Star Trek, in stories centring on the relationship between Captain Kirk and Mr. Spock (K/S is an alternative name for the genre)."
From: Oxford: Concise Dictionary of Phrase and Fable
For any errors in that text please do not blame me but my terrifying handwriting...

Did you ever wonder why Yugi was sometimes not called "Yugi" but also "Yuugi"? Or why Jou was "Jounouchi" but sometimes even "Jyounouchi"? I found out now. I started to study Japanese and learned the "Hiragana" and "Katakana".
Because the 'u' in "Yugi" is spoken long like in "Yuugi" there was used a double 'u' to show how it was pronounced. In the American series he got to be "Yugi".
As to Jou: If you combine a "ji" with the "yo" the outcome is a "jo". The 'i' in "ji" and the 'y' in "yo" fall away. Some people seem to use the 'y' in Jou's name, because in the "Hiragana" and "Katakana" it is still visible. Even though it would have to be "Jiyounouchi" then. The 'u' right after the "jo" again is used like the one in "Yuugi" - showing that the 'o' is a long vocal. It IS pronounced like an 'o' though. It's just some special rule in the Japanese language to write "jou" instead of "joo". Don't ask me why. I just started learning. Hope that wasn't too boring ... um ...
18. July 2005: Sansi and me wrote a story in co-work, called "Crossing the Line, Travelling through Time". It is posted on her account because ffnet doesn't allow double posts. Here the link to her profile to make it easier for you to find it:

30. June 2005: Now I can send you the full seventh chapter of Visitor again, because my dear friend Sansi sent it to me. Whoever has asked and didn't get it until now shall ask me for it again. I'm sorry there's such a mess.

Fanfics I currently work on:
Through the Mirror:
In the works.
Yugi meets Yami, who comes from another dimension, emerging from a mirror. His presence doesn't bring a wonderful cliche happy end to this story though - it rather brings chaos, murder and a lot of confusion to Yugi's world. Will Yugi ever learn to understand Yami? Will Yami ever learn to change into a person Yugi is willing to accept? A fight for trust begins, the both of them forced to do things they never would have done before.
Child of Darkness:
Contemplating to continue it.
Yami lives in the Darkness of the puzzle, emotionally maimed by the shadows, void of any feeling. That is... until Yugi finishes the puzzle and frees him. Now everyone could think Yami is overly thankful and starts to kiss the ground Yugi walks upon... but does he even know who freed him? Does he even know anything? And what if he comes to the conclusion that Yugi is a mere slave? Can Yugi show him otherwise?
Allure:
I don't know what to think about this story, but people sure do like it
Yugi is living alone, a lost boy. The world forgot all about his existence and he himself even forgot what it meant to really live.
But what if someone happens to stumble into his life? Will this person be able to shake him awake, or will he just destroy what Yugi has left.
Visitor:
What if there were many dimensions existing beside our own? What if their existence was discovered?
Yugi's class goes on a school-trip to an institute saving information about the different dimensions and their populations.Yugi doesn't know that this one tripis going to change his whole life, though. So when he meets Yami the first time, he isn't prepared for what is going to happen to him... or for what Yami wants from him.He is faced with a side of himself he has suppressed for a long time, coming face to face with his own passion. And with Yami's.
This story is rated R, so be aware.
