Author has written 7 stories for Lord of the Rings, and Harry Potter. I've been writing fanfic since you were knee-high to a gundark. Yeah, you heard me, a gundark. One of the things I like to specialise in is writing pairings that are unusual, or under circumstances that are different from those one normally finds in fic. I want people to be able to read one of my stories and go, "Wow... if every insert pairing here fic were written like this, I'd probably ship this pair." Or at least have people go, "Huh. I don't ship this pair at all, but I really liked the story." (Yeah, I used the subjunctive. I went there.) It's really a matter of pride. I want people to expand their minds about pairings so that they'll realise that it's not so much the pairing they might object to, but rather the standard method of storytelling associated with a pairing. Or they might just be like me and hate the pairing, but are quite pleased to find a story with that pair that they were able to enjoy.
