Author has written 24 stories for Harry Potter, and Avatar: Last Airbender. It's funny how I can't stand it when people grovel for reviews, but when I don't get any/many, I get truly concerned about the quality of my work. I'm flirting with the idea of trying to delve back into writing, because it feels so good to do it--definitely not any chaptered stories for the moment(millennium), but maybe trying to upkeep a drabble series? Maybe try some writing prompts? So, if you've any good ideas or requests or anything, feel free to PM me. My theory about The Last Airbender: The only episode of AtLA Shyamalan saw was Ember Island Players, and thought, "But perhaps I could develop it just a teeny bit less?" The whole time I watched it, my friends and I mocked the pronunciation and one of my friends kept saying, with an unhealthy amount of anguish, "What about Suki?!" I adore Avatar, and I was really upset about how butchered it was. I will definitely not be watching a second movie, at least not in theaters. Of course, I still love Harry Potter, although I don't really read any of the fanfiction for it anymore. I did, however, read a lovely piece the other day, Tying Ties and Believing Lies by purple pear 87. It was very cute, and reminded me of my love for Lily/James. While there's a lot of my writing that I'm frankly embarrassed of, I can say without a doubt that it has helped me develop a distinct personality for several of the Marauder-era characters, especially Lily and James. I feel that, while I am most definitely not all that talented, I have a fairly unique way of writing, and my characterization is fairly recognizable if you've read any of my work. Fanfiction pet peeve: When people mistake fanon for canon. I read a random review for a random story the other day, where a reader said that he/she thought Lily was short for Lillian. Where is the canonical proof for this? I've certainly never read that; please feel free to correct me. Also James, while portrayed as an arrogant, immature jerk, was never mentioned to be a "player." And in fact, I don't think that word would have been much used in Lily and James' time. But that's just me. Word to the wise: Jolts and Jiggles is, unfortunately, abandoned, if the three year lack of updates didn't clue you in. I still plan on writing the occasional one-shot, but am going to try to abstain from writing multichaptered stories, unless a crazy, mad, wonderful Idea comes upon me that I simply can't ignore! But it's doubtful. Know this, however: As silly and stupid as it sounds, fanfiction has meant a lot to me over the years. I've grown up so much, and this site has helped me develop my writing in ways that I can't even explain. My first story was about Harry Potter's missing twin sister who had been sent to America but was rediscovered shortly before OOtP. Gag. And now...here I am, dabbling in the occassional vignette! It's a big change. Although the number of reviews I get has dramatically decreased, my overall satisfaction with the end product seems to be inversely proportional to the number of reviews it gets. Just because I pretty much never write anymore doesn't mean it never meant anything to me. It did. It does. WARNING: DON'T READ MY MULTICHAPTERED FICS (and, let's face it, a select number of one-shots)! Why? Because, well, Pathological Liar includes Made Over!Hermione, Likeable!Lavendar, and Scheming!Eloise Midgen. Hermione undergoes a makeover that includes hair straightening, blonde highlights, and miniskirts. And Ginny, if I'm not mistaken, wears yellow tights at some point. Clearly, this points to bad writing. In Unreal, Ginny gets a whole new nickname, and is estranged from her family for years pre-fic before becoming magically close to them in the span of the few mere weeks the story covers. The Woes of Being a Weasley includes Ditsy!Hermione, Rebellious!Ginny, and Beaten Up!Malfoy. Oh, and an exchange of letters occurs between Ginny and Harry. Voldemort is at no point mentioned as a serious topic of discussion in any of these. The stories are each grossly immature and predictable, the writing is plain ol' bad at times, the characters are all remarkably out of character, and border on the edge of being Mary Sues and Gary Stus. Oh, and don't read Stupid Cupid. Or Birthday Presents for Hermione. Or possibly Always Wondered and Birthday Presents for James. OH! And by the way...I am a devoted follower of Jesus Christ, and am striving to honor Him in all that I do. While I am an imperfect person, in Christ I am forgiven! God is amazing, awesome, omnipotent, and you can not convince me otherwise. Looking through the notes in my olds stories, you will see someone with shaky morals and shakier faith. But I am living a radically changed life for Christ! And I hope you are too. For me, crazy is a loose term. Crazy is when you stare at a pencil and laugh when someone asks you just what you find so interesting about the eraser. Crazy is when you have an hour long sob-fest, then start singing and dancing when your favorite song plays. Crazy is when you do or say a totally random thing, like "do you ever wonder where the eraser bits go?" or start having a thumbwar with yourself (i find that i am a very tough opponent).
