Hi, everyone!
About me:
I'm a twenty-something Spanish teacher from the United States. Three degrees (two bachelors, one masters), not married, no kids ... the personal stuff isn't all that interesting.
As for the stories I prefer ... I'm a sucker for backstory and canon, so all my stories are in that realm. I love the idea of telling the story behind the story ... and I love the idea that the story I tell could potentially be true. To that end, I try to stick as closely to what we know to be true as possible.
About the Harry Potter stories:
"Before Harry: The Marauders' Tale" is the story of James, Sirius, Remus, Peter, Lily and Lily's girlfriends through their days at Hogwarts. It starts with their first train ride to school and ends with their graduation. Plenty of classes, goofing off, sneaking around and teenage romance. It's fairly true to the books as of what we know right now.
"The Potter Legacy: The Story of Lily and James" is the sequel to "Before Harry." I think it's pretty necessary to read them in order, but I know that people haven't and have lived to tell the tale. It picks up the lives of all the characters from "Before Harry" literally the day after graduation, with their final trip home from Hogwarts, and continues through the aftermath of James and Lily's deaths. It covers their jobs, their romances, their marriages, their kids - everything that goes into becoming adults. This one was true to the books before HBP was published, but it's still fairly accurate.
"The Ties that Bind" is the sequel to "The Potter Legacy." It begins with Remus's train ride back to Hogwarts as a teacher, and jumps through to the reformation of the Order of the Phoenix. The story stays on track through HP books 5 and 6. It focuses on the Order, more specifically on Remus and Sirius, and their battle for some normalcy in their world. The central romances are Remus/Tonks and Sirius/Olivia (OC from my other stories).
"Freedom" is a one-shot I wrote for a Scrivenshaft Challenge at the unknowable room. It focuses on Andromeda as she looks back at the role her family played in her life, and her ultimate decision to leave them for Ted Tonks.
All the "Harry Potter" stories will get a revision after I read the seventh book.
About the CSI stories:
"Fairytales" is my take on Grissom and Sara's relationship before they actually got together. It starts right before they meet during the famed seminar, and ends with Grissom asking Sara to come to Las Vegas to help after Holly's death.
"Chasing the Rainbow's End" is the sequel to "Fairytales." It covers the unrequited love portion of Grissom and Sara's Las Vegas relationship. It begins with her move to Vegas and ends with her almost-DUI - a moment that I consider to be very pivotal in their relationship.
"And They Lived Happily" is the continuation of "Chasing the Rainbow's End." It starts with Sara's counseling after her almost-DUI and will continue through as Sara and Grissom develop from coworkers to friends to lovers. I intend (as of now) to end it with Grissom leaving for his sabbatical (again, a pivotal moment).
"The Rules" is a fun little piece about Grissom and Sara's developing relationship. It highlights five "rules" they have for keeping their relationship together and on the down low - and shows how they managed to break all of them. It's light, it's fluffy, and it's probably my favorite thing I've written. It's not related to my other CSI stories. Maisy13 made a fabulous promo video for this story. Check it out - it's awesome!
I hope you check out my stories, and I hope you enjoy them!
