Author has written 36 stories for DarkWing Duck, Static Shock, Mummies Alive!, Teen Titans, Mighty Max, Card Captor Sakura, Ninja Turtles, Yu-Gi-Oh, Rainbow Brite, Secondhand Lions, Ghost Busters (Real/Extreme), Scrapped Princess, Real Adventures of Jonny Quest, Gundam Wing/AC, and Godzilla: The Series.
I write a lot. Most of it never sees the light of the internet. But sometimes it does. I read ten times as much as I write, though, and you can kinda tell from my crazy list of favorites. Although I like a lot of live-action shows really well, my favorites are always the cartoons and anime series that I try and keep track of. I kept a list on here for a long, long time, but it's gotten pretty ridiculous. There's a lot of stuff to like out there! If I've got a favorite for it somewhere, I liked it at some point. If I haven't got one, it either means I haven't seen it or haven't been won over by any of the stories yet. And I'm always up for some good recs for the fandoms I frequent!
My husband is my most ruthless critic. ... Sometimes he will say, "It's been said better before." Of course. It's all been said better before. If I thought I had to say it better than anyone else, I'd never start. Better or worse is immaterial. The thing is that it has to be said; by me; ontologically. We each have to say it, to say it in our own way. Not of our own will, but as it comes through us. Good or bad, great or little: that isn't what human creation is about. It is that we have to try; to put it down in pigment, or words, or musical notations, or we die.
I currently have just 1 major story in progress on the site: "The Ties that Bind" -crossover of Teen Titans and Batman the Animated Series, and I PROMISE to finish it someday, though it may be a while! I have moved on from TT in recent years, and I'm not quite ready to go back to it yet. But I'm not idle. I've instead decided not to post until I can call them done or near-done, to keep from the ridiculous hiatus that happened with "Moral Danger." When I get stuck for ideas, I've branched out into one-shots, so those will pop up here and there across whatever fandom has lit the creative fire within me this week. Other than that, if you want to check out my livejournal, be my guest. There aren't entries open to the public, as I tend to be a more private person, but feel free to friend me and we'll see how we go; I always like to hear back from people and then be able to comment in return.
I think that's about it. Oh, in case you were wondering, the name "Mendeia" is actually the name of a character in a fantasy story I wrote years ago, and while the actual writing itself may not be salvageable, the character was a lot of fun.
