"I don't believe in a Snape that's soft on students. You shouldn't either."

I graduated from high school in 2007 and have done very little since. For six months or more (I truly can't recall) I worked in a Japanese restaurant by day and stayed up with the electric-glow of my computer by night; reading and writing in the hope to discover something important like the meaning of life and the beautiful intricacies of the universe. Instead I found a bunch of pop-up adds and an E-mail for 'Male Enhancement'. Then, one day, I had a mental break down. I threw my hands in the air conceding defeat and fled to Montreal to regroup. I then cleaned rooms by day and... stayed up with the electric glow of my computer by night. The breakdown was pending. In a decision to change my life (again) I moved to Vancouver then to Penticton where I now work at the local Hostel and search the pet shop cages for a member of the leporidae family (the long eared variety) to accompany me on my adventures despite not being allowed any pets. Breakdown precluded?

Update: Dec 1st 2009 My creative juices are flowing again after a very frustrating dry spell. I think that working at a Hostel has really started up my drive to write again and so far everything is looking good. Honestly, I'm a perfectionist and so when things are not 100 right I can't stand to post them. This is my biggest problem. I have a story that I have been working on for over a year that I can't finish because every time I read it to see whereabouts I am (because it takes me so long to get back in the groove I forget) I notice a million mistakes and I go back and rework the entire chapter. Plus, if I'm not satisfied with a chapter I end up deleting the whole thing and starting again. Chapter count so far? Two. This is a big problem. I am endeavoring now to just write without editing and then, only once getting to the end of a full chapter, to go back and make corrections as needed... but that is so very difficult. I have not forgotten about "Surviving the Midnight Sun" which is still on the table along with a story who's working title is "Wide World Roll Away" a Harry Potter fanfic and a Hellboy fic with no title as of yet. There are also some plans for some short stories too. :( I think I need some help. I have a million plot bunnies and no outlet. This may sound terrible, but I'm not keen on letting those bunnies go home with just anyone. I'm picky about that too which is ridiculous. Blah. Hopefully, I will finaly beat down my writing demons and just get on with the stories.

Update: Oct 16th 2009 I deleted "Surviving the Midnight Sun" as I am reworking it and continuing its creation despite setbacks. Sorry everyone who was looking forward to more, but it will take me a bit to finish it and I did not think it fair to leave it up unfinished.

Update: Jan. 6th 2009 I had a terrible dream. There was a tall and crooked pillar, made up and surrounded by red earth. Dust of the same colour flitted by; caught in a whirlwind. This pillar was jutting from this flat and barren ground and at the top of it, where the clouds were gathering, sat a laptop with my fanfic. I turned away in shame, for I knew I had become the creator of bad-fic and (truly then) the destroyer of worlds...

lol, just kidding, but sometimes I go onto the forums and I'm always nervous that I'm going to end up seeing MY fanfiction in the "bad-fic" area. :P This fear has never featured in any of my nightmares, but certainly my daymares :)
