Updates: June 10, 2009

I haven't seriously written fanfiction in a LONG time. I still want to. I have plots I'd love to explore. But you'd be surprised by how little motivation I have. And I'm not in love with this here Pit of Voles anymore. If I write fic, I'll come in and post it (probably) but I'm not even going to pretend there's a schedule for it. It will happen when (or if) it happens.

Call me Jester. I'm twenty-three years old, despite my complaints. If I still claim to be twenty-three by March 12, 2010, then I have failed to keep this bio updated. That's a very likely scenario.

I'm a guy, and I say this because I've been mistaken for a girl more than once (but only online. I don't get mistaken for a girl in real life). I also frequently change the topic on which I'm speaking. I can be contacted via MSN or email. jesterslackey (at) gmail (dot) com, so there. Hijack me and I'll be more than happy to talk to you...probably. I'm quite personable, though even I have limits, and a lot of those limits involve excessive emoticons and bad grammar. If you start talking to me on MSN, I promise you that I WILL be talking to someone else in another window, freaking out that someone I don't know is interacting with me, and trying to figure out whether or not I should block you.

I have a Livejournal I share with a great friend, NamelessMoonshine, over at http://spfi-duo.livejournal.com/ . We don't update very often, and when we do it more often than not involves threats and insults toward one another. We are working on several projects in a number of fandoms together, but have yet to accomplish any actual progress in any of them because we are both lazy asses.

For the most part, I'm a slasher. A fair number of my pairings are guy/guy. But I don't just go for any slashfic. I'm very picky about my pairings, (er, kinda? I do have an awful lot...) and in fact, many times if I think that there's a hetero or girl/girl pairing that works far better than a slash one, I'll go with the het or girlslash. I've also grown tired of the terms 'yaoi' and 'yuri'. I know they're there, but they annoy me on a deep and personal level. So I say 'slash'. It might be just for the violent connotation of the word. I have no problems with that.

That said, I am perfectly okay with ignoring romance completely and focusing on other things. For example, an old SWAT Kats/Silent Hill crossover. And there's no romance! Really! I swear! That earns me points, right? (Yes, I'm aware that the Silent Hill thing probably earns me negative points. I'm so far in the red that I don't care.)

I'm a psych major. And I'm gay. Apparently this is enough that people ask me for relationship advice. I am also the worst gay best friend ever, because, well, exchanges often end up like this:

"I need advice on my relationship."
"CRAP I'M PLAYING FALLOUT 3."

So unless you are desperate or don't mind getting bad advice because I'm distracted by whatever game I am playing, you might have more luck elsewhere.
