Author has written 24 stories for Lord of the Rings, and Troy. Formerly known as Queen Arwen HBB Update, Dec 2010: I was sixteen when I started writing this. I like to think I've improved. I will be going back and re-writing through chapter 20, as well as trying to continue the story. I'm overwhelmed! Also, I have the worst case of writer's block EVER, which does not help matters any. I promise to try to crank another chapter out, even if it's terrible, and hopefully that'll at least get me updating regularly again. To the people that still follow HBB: I cannot thank you enough. I owe you more frequent updates, and that's my goal for 2011. Stay tuned for a January update! Oh, no one likes seeing a blank profile page! The Author: Hi, I'm Lauren, an 21 year old girl who loves Italy, speaking Spanish, working at a jewelry store, caffeine, arguing, hanging with friends, daydreaming, and above all, writing. I take classes full time and work three days a week, plus I'm planning my wedding, so I don't have a ton of time to write other than for classes at the moment. I am still deeply connected to Haunted By Bliss, though, and I will write more as soon as I can. The Obsession: Troy, by Adele Geras, was the first book I cried in, after reading it in 4th grade. Since then, Hector has been my hero, and I've read the Iliad, Aeneid, Odyssey, and every re-telling I can get my hands on. I've even written two research papers on the subject, and spent a ridiculous amount of time researching the war, the place, and the people. I have a freakin' Trojan shield tattooed on my hip! My writing usually follows the legend, not the movie. Don't get me wrong, I loved the movie, but I feel like enough people have followed that storyline, and there's no way for me to improve upon it. Besides, it's more challenging for me to follow and include all details in the original story. The Stories: HBB is my only baby now. It's kind of a lens to see Hector and other characters through, and I'm putting more time, effort, and myself into it than any other story. It'll drag on for quite awhile, and hopefully will improve! Your feedback on this (and all stories) is really appreciated. I'd like to get published someday, and that means improvement and hard work, and your opinions are welcome. I'm sorry I took such a long break, but hopefully I can get chapters up faster. And, because I adore writing from Hector's POV, there may be some shorter stories up when I get inspired. Stay tuned!
