UPDATE: 4/5/09--Glitch in lolo popoki and my update schedule. I promised to post this here for lolo. There was a big storm in her area and her computer completely crashed. It is still in the shop, so she cannot update until she gets it back. On the positive side, I'm one of her betas so even if she lost info, I have her most recent draft, so the chapter wasn't lost... but she can't finish the touch-ups for it until her comp works again. I'll throw a note like this on my chapter as well (which might look rougher than usual, given that lolo is generally MY beta... we shall see if I can wrangle another beta in for this chapter... sigh Sirius 4/2/09--APRIL FOOLS! For those of you who haven't noticed yet, lolo popoki and I pulled an April Fools day joke on our readers. We both updated our fictions, Amethyst and Amber and Only the Beginning. However, instead of posting real chapters, we each wrote parodies for each other stories. That means Chapter 14 of OTB was written by yours truly while Chapter 4 (technically 3) of A&A was written by lolo popoki. Real chapter updates will be coming soon for both stories. You're totally free to do so as long as you email me a link or something to let me see what you've done! A note on my writing style. I'm obsessive about characters and character development. I try not to let my plots dissipate from this, but sometimes it's hard. This is one reason I practically feed on reviews. They help keep me in line. The more information in a review (even just to tell me what I screwed up on and why someone hates my story) the better. This is the only way I can correct mistakes! I love symbols and metaphor, although I don't know that I often think to use it while I'm writing... weird. I've been told by at least one reviewer that I have a minimalist style, which sounded kind of cool, and I took to be a good thing. Maybe I do. -note to self... look up "minimalist style"- One other important note. Stories may be slowly updated (although I hate doing that.) Stories may be put on hiatus or The Back Burner (I hate doing that even more). But stories are never ever given up unless they have died a slow and agonizing death. None of my stories have done that yet (even those that haven't been updated since... cough... the prologue). You just needed to know that. No panicking. Prodding... yes. Panicking... no...
