Me: My name is Mima. I was born in Romania, but came to U.S. with my mom when I was four years old in 1989. I lived in New Yok for most of my life, but I now reside in Utah with my mom and step-dad. I love to read, write, draw, dance, listen to music, talk on the phone, go online, check my e-mails, play sports, watch movies, and hang out with my friends.

I'm also 23 years old, single, never had a boyfriend, and an only child. Also, I am a direct descendant from Vlad the Impaler. To people outside of Romania, he's better known as Dracula. From this fact, yes, I do consider myself a vampire, lol.

Music: Since Michael passed away, I've only been listening to his music. But, of course, I still love all types of music, ranging from Classical to Pop to R&B. Michael Jackson 1958-2009

June 25th, 2009 shocked me along with the rest of the world. I never listened to Michael's music when he was still alive. I only liked a couple of his songs. But since the day he passed away, I've been listening to his music non-stop. I will forever regret that I didn't discover Michael and his music when he was still alive.

However, I am really glad that through his music I found out for myself what kind of a man, person, and human being he was. He was a beautiful, wonderful, fantastic, loving, loving, caring, kind, sweet, and giving man, person, and human being--inside and outside. He loved the whole entire world unconditionally and endlessly. I love you, Michael. You're definitely at peace now.

So, here is the bad news:

For the past year (March 2008-present 2009) I haven't been able to write anything. My friends can testify to that. I still have stinking, freaking writer's block. My muse is still taking a stupid ass, VERY LONG vacation. And I'm still very angry because all I want to do is finish my current fics, but can't.

Despite having writer's block and my muse being a pain in the ass, I'm still going to write Comfort and a Kiss and all the fics that I stated I was--and am--going to write. When am I going to be able to update them? That I do not know. But KNOW, KNOW they are NOT on a hiatus.

The good news:

I don't know how or what possessed me to write a one-shot based on the 1921 silent film Orphans of the Storm. I'm just glad that I wrote something and that it was based on this movie. I wrote this one-shot in a day and a half. (Now, why can't that also happen with the rest of my fics?! Grr!)

Orphans of the Storm is a 1921 silent film, starring Lillian Gish, Dorothy Gish, and Josef (also Joseph) Schildkraut. It was written, produced, and directed by the master and genius at movie-making D. W. Griffith. The plot of the entire film is set in late 18th century France, before and during the French Revolution.

My one-shot is based on and set during the film. It is called During the Storm and I hope you will all enjoy it.

I absolutely love silent and classic films. Thus, don't be surprised if I write more fics based on such films. And for anyone who has not seen silent films, Orphans of the Storm will convert you and you will not be disappointed. Though, I must warn you it is a real tear-jerker.
