Author has written 10 stories for Yami no Matsuei, Prince of Tennis, and Death Note.

-- March 29, 2009

I know updates haven't happened for over a year. I haven't forgotten about ET CETERA, and I'm not taking it down (yet), but I just have no energy to spare just now. ~_~ 2008 was an exhausting year, and brought a series of serious setbacks, as it probably did for a lot of people.

Currently, if I DO go ahead with posting the rest of ET CETERA, I'll have to do it without a beta, which I swore high and low I wouldn't do after the mess with Sakuran. It was that exhausting. Granted, my own neurosis about not wanting even the slightest mistake is the main source of my stress here, but having no support while editing a massive fic really, really sucks. But I'm not yet at the point I'd rather take it down, either. So I might try this one solo anyway. It will mean a lot of mistakes and a heck of lot more insane moments, but...bottom line: ET CETERA means a lot to me personally, and I think it'll be worth the grief in the end.

(ET CETERA was started on November 20, 2004, and finished on July 18, 2006. So it has been almost three years since I wrote down the word FINIS, yet the edits have not even really begun for real. While I have never been a terribly prolific writer, I do tend to revise and rework substantial parts of my fics while editing. To be honest, I am perfectly terrified.)

As a policy, I do not take down what I've already posted unless obligated to do so (such as, at the request of the hosting site). I figure once made public, taking a fic down out of embarrassment is silly, even if the fic does remain my intellectual property (sans the copyright, of course). I made no secret that my earlier fics often embarrass me because my writing HAS changed over the years, and my earlier writing, while still dear to me, are less, ah, polished than I would like. Still I feel, in a way, a storyteller is obligated to finish the tale if humanly possible. And I do absolutely, positively abhor leaving a story unfinished.

So. Here's hoping for the best. n.n; Again.
