Author has written 23 stories for Lord of the Rings, and Harry Potter. Time to re- think my author bio, I believe. Well, I'm 18 years old and an aspiring writer (don't laugh. It's not THAT unlikely). I have been roaming the world of fanfiction for a few years now, and have finally got to the point where I understand most of the terminology "OOC" "Shipping" and "lol" are no longer just mysterious marks on the computer screen. sniffs I've come so far... I have a most bizarre sense of humour and tend to take delight in putting characters inodd situations andthen watching them try to wriggle out of them. Sticking Nymphadora Tonks to the ceiling and giving Charlie Weasley a talking hearth rug named Boris are prime examples of my sadistic tendencies. What else? I like HP as you can probably tell from the number of fics I've written for the fandom, and LOTR. Although I've gone off Tolkien recently ducks flying cabbages thrown by Tolkienites. I really like CS Lewis as well. I'm still hyper after seeing the new Narnia film. If anyone hasn't seen it yet, them do, it's fantastic. What else? Oh I'll do some lists, that's always fun. Favourite Ships HP- Harry/ Ginny, Lily/ James, Harry/ Draco, Ron/ Hermione, Luna/ Charlie. LOTR- Rosie/ Sam, Aragorn/ Arwen, Faramir/ Eowyn. Mostly I like gen for Lotr though especially when it involves Hobbits. Best. Fictional Species. Ever. Favourite characters. HP- Harry Potter, Ginny Weasley, Ron Weasley, Fred Weasley, Hermione Granger, Lily Evans, James Potter, Sirius Black. LOTR- Pippin, Merry, Frodo, Eowyn, Faramir, Boromir, Rosie Cotton. Pet hates HP- Harry/ Hermione. Sexgod!Draco. Sexgodess!Hermione. Changing characters names for no good reaon (Ginger? Mimi? Harold?). Draco/ Hermione (except in the case of Draco Malfoy, the Amazing Bouncing...Rat? which makes up for the ship and the sexgod! Draco by its sheer hilariousness). People using the word delusional like a badge of pride. It's an insult. And an accurate one. Get over it. Author bashing. Ginny bashing. Weasley bashing. Umbridge. LOTR- Sam/ Frodo. Cruelty to Pippin. Any form of romance involving Gollum. Mary- Sue related paranoia- If you hate them so much don't read them. Mary Sues may be annoying but it doesn't mean that the author is automatcally an evil orc with no feelings and no writing talent. They've just got a bit to learn about creating likable original characters. If you think about it Tolkien created a whole RACE of Mary Sues and Gary Stus when he invented Elves... which brings me on to my guilty secret. I don't really like Elves. I find them flat, distant and boring. And yes, that goes for Legolas too. Hobbits are so the superior race! | |||||||||
