Author has written 38 stories for Buffy: The Vampire Slayer, Gilmore Girls, Smallville, Glee, Baby Sitters Club, Veronica Mars, She's the Man, Facts of Life, and Law and Order: SVU. Freelance has been penning slash since 1998. An early lack in Buffy/Faith fanfic led her to take on the task of writing several stories based on a romance between the slayers. She co-founded Slayer Pride, a leading source for f/f subtext seers of Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Her fic "Faith Spencer: Private Eye" is the source of the Faith's widely accepted fanon surname that was often used before she was Jossed by The Watcher's Guide Vol. 3. In 2002, Freelance faced another lack in slash fic, this time based on Paris and Rory of the Gilmore Girls. And then, in early 2003, the introduction of Kennedy on BTVS spurred another genre of fic, called Winnedy. Freelance immediately jumped on the bandwagon and eventually focused on the Frennedy (Fred and Kennedy, which is still two girls, in case you're not hip to the Whedonverse lingo). 2004 brought on a wave of Veronica Mars femslash (Veronica/Meg and Veronica/Mac), an interest that may be renewed as the series makes its way to DVD each season. Spring of 2005 was the beginning of a new era in Freelance fiction, this time venturing into Babysitters Club slash, which may be her lengthiest endeavor, yet. The release of the 2006 film She's the Man encouraged another new fandom, rich in femslashy goodness, which isn't a far reach, as the movie is based on William Shakespeare's unabashedly slashtastic play, Twelfth Night.
