I'm amazed by the number of girls who want to drop in Middle Earth. I don't care how many hot Elves there are there: I'd trade them all for electricity, antibiotics and a flushing toilet in a heartbeat.

I love fanfiction (duh!). Overall, I prefer gen, but as long as the story is good I'm not picky. But a story that focuses exclusively on romance bores the hell out of me. And I'll run away at the first mention of "heaving bosoms", "throbbing members" and "fiery tempers". Eww, people!

Fics that make people go batty because they take them seriously are my secret weakness. I have fond recollections of the drama fests surrounding such debacles as "Patricia the Most Beeutiful Elf in all of the Shire" or "Draco the Hitler Youth".

PS: do check up on my favorite stories. There are some great fics out there. I also sometimes add the truly awesome trainwrecks, because you never know when you're going to need a good laugh.
