Author has written 50 stories for Disney, Treasure Planet, Mulan, Star Wars, Pirates of the Caribbean, Aveyond, Princess and the Frog, Toy Story, Hunchback of Notre Dame, and Star Wars: The Clone Wars.
I'm Liesel (yeah, weird, I know, talk to my mom about it), a busy substitute teacher who would love to have more time to work on her fanfic. I write novels that I hope to get published, but that hasn't stopped me from enjoying fanfiction.
My life is VERY busy, especially during the school year, so sometimes it might take me a while (sometimes a LOOOOONG while) to update stories. Remember, patience is a virtue!
I usually write extremely long, complex multi-chapter stories - and I write a lot of them at once, so it's hard to juggle them all. However, I enjoy short stories too.
I write stories as I get inspiration, but I'm sensitive to people begging me to update stories.
Most of my stories are Star Wars centered. My favorite SW characters to write about are Han Solo (Han rocks Han rocks Han rocks Han ROCKS!), Leia Organa, and Padme Amidala. Most of my SW fics are in the original trilogy timeframe, but I also write some prequel fics and I LOVE writing AUs that span both trilogies. I love Clone Wars as well, especially Ahsoka, she's awesome.
I HATE most of the Star Wars Expanded Universe books, so my SW fics largely ignore them. Besides, George Lucas himself has said they aren't canon. The only EU characters I use regularly are the Solo kids - I liked them when they were young (NOT when they grew up and became screwed up/Sith/dead - that stuff will NEVER happen in my fics). So if you're wondering when EU characters like Mara Jade or Grand Admiral Thrawn or Prince Isoldor or anyone else will appear in my stories, the answer is over my dead body.
I graduated from college with a Creative Writing degree, so I can be a harsh reviewer at times, but I don't believe in flaming. Any criticisms I make are intended to help the author. If a story is bad, I say so. If a writer is acting immature, I say so.
Stories I love: Well done angst, well done AU's, good Han Solo fics, Han/Leia fluff, dark emotional fics, fics that creatively explore an often-asked question about the canon.
Stories I hate: Bad grammar/spelling, melodramatic romance fics, bizarre pairing stories that have no point except to make a bizarre pairing, OOC fics, cliche fics that have been done a million times before, helpless/crybaby Leia fics (there are WAY too many of those even though she's NOT like that in the movies at ALL), Mary Sues, songfics (the song lyrics always end up either taking over the story or just interrupting the story), badly written fics of any kind.
I've started doing a series of videos about writing Star Wars fanfic at my YouTube channel, which can be found here.
