I was absolutely bonkers-mad obsessed with the Matrix until about a year ago. It has faded to a quiet fondness and a tendency to whup-ass on anyone who disses Keanu Reeves, but I still write stories for it! And for the other three Pillars of Fangirlism... Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, anyone? No? But I must face it that those stories generally die off after one chapter, no matter what sort of plans I have for them.
