Anyway... I'm extremely friendly, so feel free to message me any time. Don't be shy to review my stories, and especially don't be shy to tell me exactly what you think - as in, I like your criticism, if you choose to honor me with it. I strive to be a better writer, so anything helpful you can offer me is, well, helpful.
Concerning what I write:
-I try to write in a variety of styles and genres. I've no idea what my strengths and weaknesses are concerning that, but I write anywhere from angst, philosophical drama to light-hearted humorous romance.
-I'm open to het, yaoi, yuri and everything in between. My criteria is that I have to find the relationship between the characters intriguing and emotive, and I really don't care about gender restrictions (with practicality in mind, however).
-What I do NOT like is "seme" and "uke" psychological stereotypes. I loathe them, I really do. I think they're incredibly shallow and more often than not, give authors an excuse to butcher characterization by trying to stuff the lovers into these confines. I may, under in-depth deliberation over the dynamics of a pairing, conclude that one character IS more dominant (which I may playfully refer to as "seme") but I will NOT alter the characters as I see them to fit these silly roles. I don't mean to rant about this on my userinfo page, but I get so many people asking me who is seme/uke in one of my stories. I find it rather bothersome, especially when followed by "...because I only read fics if Character X is seme." Argh.
-Right now I'm mainly posting Death Note stories, as it is my current writing obsession. Favorite characters are Light Yagami, L and Ryuk though I do appreciate most of the cast. What I'm primarily concerned with in the series are the themes, symbolism and ethical controversy - I find that the most interesting, and like fics best that deal with these. And also... I like L/Light slash. :D
