Author has written 32 stories for Ronin Warriors, Yu Yu Hakusho, Yu-Gi-Oh, Rifts, and Danny Phantom. November 4, 2009 – Hi, everyone! Damn . . . has it seriously been almost 6 years that I’ve been on FFnet? Amazing... XD For readers new and long-term: I’m a 35-year-old with a full-time job and health issues, and who (happily!) does in-depth beta work for a few friends, so sometimes there are LONG intervals between updates of my own work. That does not mean that anything is ever abandoned! (Unless marked so.) It just means I’ve not been able to get to it for (ack, how long?!) erm... a while. But I will! ((grins)) My current and long-standing love is Yu-Gi-Oh! – the manga and original-Japanese-dialogue anime, not so much the watered-down hack job that 4Kids Entertainment produced. To be fair, though, I wouldn’t know YGO at all if not for that hack job, and I do happen to like some of the vocal dub-choices for the characters (understanding the reasoning behind them better than some fans seem to care to), so it will always have a soft spot in my heart. Plus it has some of THE BEST lines! ("Porkchops and applesauce!" ... not to mention Kaiba's snappy one-liners XD) However, I’ve not forgotten my Yu Yu Hakusho buddies, nor my roots in Yoroiden: Samurai Troopers (dub Ronin Warriors). Yusuke, Kurama, Seiji, Ryo (both Bakura and Sanada), Yami, Kaiba, Hiei, Shin, Rajura, Rishid . . . I love them all. Heh . . . hence my “Spellfire Saga,” for one . . . Plus I’ve been introduced to the love that is Danny Phantom and hope someday to have the time (and money for DVDs) to get a good look at Avatar, the Last Airbender. Wow, the US is actually starting to put out some worthwhile stuff again! I gave up on shit like Disney, Nickelodeon, and especially Cartoon Network a long time ago. Don't get me wrong on Disney - I grew up on the animated movies (and other US movie companies like DreamWorks and Pixar kick ASS). I just don't care for the uber-wholesome TV fare, and . . . guess I personally just don't want pretty fairy tales anymore. Or sanitized versions of ones... I've also recently really discovered Hellboy and Phoenix Wright (aka Gyakuten Saiban), and have been kicking around some YGO-crossover ideas with both of those (hey, the paranormal ties make them natural fits, especially Hellboy!!), so maybe expect to be seeing those in the future. Plus, a while back, I bought Season One of my very first love from ages ago, Knight Rider. And . . . oh, lookie!! The Sentinel with Richard Burgi and Garett Maggart. ((drools)) . . . and has anyone else here read the REAL Pinocchio by Carlo Collodi?! And LOOKIE LOOKIE!! (part 2) - Transformers! (orig cartoon) ...Huh, they're calling it "Generation One" now, huh? ((remembers when it first aired!)) As one of MyAibou's LiveJournal icons says, "So many focuses, so little time..." GAH!! I need a tranquilizer gun to start rounding up all the freaking plotbunnies! Anyway, real updates the past two years have been preciously rare - what with some serious illness flares and other crap - but, hopefully, this year will be a lot better . . . which means more writing! XD (S'not happened, unfortunately, as we now start into fucking November, but...) I have a Live Journal account for any who cares to look - "dragondancer515". It's the same name as here only drop the "0" - there weren't enough spaces in the ID field. One last comment for any who care, I don't generally go for slash/yaoi at all, but I have recently come to be able to appreciate some pairings, if handled sensibly and the stories are well-written, the characters kept in-character. However, it is not part of my fanon, not something I write, and so my stories will never contain it. There are sometimes scenes that have a great deal of emotional depth and closeness - some of these characters are incredibly dear to each other - and so sometimes scenes that I write may/will skate the edges. Some of you will read into them what you want to see, gentle readers - I understand that - but please also respect the spirit in which I intended them. Thank you.
