Well, I suppose it's about time I added something to this thing!

I live in the UK, in particular the Shire (of Gloucester)! I suppose you could say that I sound a hell of a lot like Sam Gamgee from the Lord of the Rings trilogy! Could be a good thing - depends how you look at it really!

I have very ecclectic tastes in pretty much everything! Though my first loves are Science-Fiction and Science-Fantasy - I simply adore the Lord of the Rings and have re-read it every year at Christmas since I was knee high to a Hobbit!

Anne McCaffrey's Dragons of Pern novels.

Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time series - a little heavy going, but well worth a look.

Kate Jacoby's Elita series - supremely entertaining (as fantasy goes...).

Anything by J V Jones - The Barbed Coil in particular.

Terry Brooks Shannara series - Though it comes just a bit too close to the same sort of storyline as 'The Rings'.

Any good medical text - how sad am I!
