| Ara Laothen |
Author has written 5 stories for Legend of Zelda, Harry Potter, X-Men: Evolution, and Lord of the Rings. Hello, there, weary travelers! Ara Laothen speaking to ye from the land of whatchamacallits! But, first, (if you're really curious...if not, don't read), a bit about myself: I love reading, mostly scifi/fantasy (Lord of the Rings takes the cake, since I've read a million times, and the Hobbit, of course...the Dune chronicles are next by Frank Herbert, and a bunch of other fantasy novels...I highly recommend Darkness Descending if you're into WW II at all). I'm an anime fanatic (I like 'em all, especially Dragonball Z/GT, works by Yu Watase, Witch Hunter Robin, Tenchi Muyo, and many, many others). I LOVE video games! My favorites include: Legend of Zelda, Dragonball Z Budokai and the Legacy of Goku 2, Final Fantasy X, Quidditch World Cup, and The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King for the PS2. Favorite game of all time, you ask? The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. Story line, graphics, everything you'd expect from this little legend! I also found something funny on stlyrics.com: Artist: Jung Min Lyrics Song: Avada Kedavra ( Hakuna Matata ) Lyrics "Avada Kedavra What a horrible phrase Avada Kedavra You'll see a big green blaze Before you realize That's the end of your days It's Voldy's moral-free Malignity Avada Kedavra Ron: Yeah, take Harry for example. (sings)Before he was at Hogwarts Harry: (opera style) Before I was at Hogwarts! Ron: (digging in ear with pained expression on face)Lovely, Harry Harry: (spoken) Thank you. Ron: His parents were nice, young Lily and James A great witch and wizard with a well-known name Harry: Then Voldemort came- Through our door he burst And he killed them, with that one atrocious curse And oh!- the pain! (Ron: Yes, he was in pain) Harry: Thought of changing my name! (Ron: Oh, what's in a name?) Harry: 'Till I went to Hogwarts (Ron: Where did you go?) Harry: It's located in- Ron: (covering Harry's mouth) Harry! Not in front of the muggles! Avada Kedavra What a horrible phrase Avada Kedavra You'll see a big green blaze Before you realize That's the end of your days It's Voldy's moral-free Malignity Avada Kedavra" (I think it's hilarious...) "From the site of Anakin Skywalker's last stand - on the molten surface of the planet Mustafar, where he sought to destroy his friend and former master, Obi-Wan Kenobi - a fearsome specter in black has risen. Once the most powerful Knight ever known to the Jedi Order, he is now a disciple of the dark side, a lord of the dreaded Sith, and the avenging right hand of the galaxy's ruthless new Emperor. Seduced, deranged, and destroyed by the machinations of the Dark Lord Sidious, Anakin Skywalker is dead . . . and Darth Vader lives." - Taken (not stolen, of course) from Star Wars: Dark Lord: The Rise of Darth Vader (yeah...that's my husband...so dark...so sensuous...allow me a moment to drool.) Alright, here's some of the stuff I've been cooking up in my head since I've been absent from Earth: Harry Potter Fics: James Potter's Day Off: Seventh-Year James Potter is popular, in love, smart, and totally, utterly bored. In a last attempt to give his teachers and the ever-present Snape the slip, James drags reluctant pal Remus Lupin, sick from the coming full moon, vibrant Sirius Black, and his one-time love, Lily Evans, into the ride of their very young lives, running amuck amongst the Muggles of London. And it is there that James teaches the greatest lesson of all: "Life moves pretty fast...if you don't stop to look around once in a while, you might miss it." Inspired and ripped off of the one, the ONLY, Ferris Beulahr's Day Off (did I spell that wrong?). Comedy. Heaven knows what length. Rate pending, but most likely PG-13..or is it T now? Trials By the Moon: Given that Heart of a Wolf is taking &$ long, this MAY be the sequel to it. If this does occur, Trials will take place one year after the Potter murders, encompassing the Second War against Voldy in the perspectives of everyone's favorite wolf, Remus, and his ahem OC lover, Aya, as well as the REST of the werewolf community (not every werewolf follows the raging lunatics). Lord of the Rings (at last, some ideas!): Last of the Valor: (already begun) In the coming onslaught of Sauron's forces, three members of Middle-Earth traverse the wilderness, the last of a dying people. Two of them are of the vanishing race of the Elves, Legolas of Mirkwood, and Elrond of Rivendell; together, they travel with Elrond's adopted son, Aragorn, as they attempt to wait out Sauron's take-over of the West and save as many villagers as they can. But their quest is soon interrupted when the three stumble upon Arwen and her sister, Eowyn, as they flee to Gondor and their father, and it is there that the West's fate is decided. Not a good summary, but the plot will soon enfold. AU. VERY LONG. Taken from the film version of Last of the Mohicans. Drama/Romance/Tragedy. Zelda: Birth: The prequel to Child of Link. In the aftermath of Ganondorf's destruction, the King of Evil's destroyer finds himself at a loss for words. When faced with the choice to return to his own time, he instead chooses his own way for once in the name of love, forever shaking the balance of time itself and setting in motion the events of Child of Link. In other words, the budding romance between Link, Hero of Time, and Zelda, newly-crowned Queen of Hyrule, and their...er..."rompings" in a certain Temple. cough. It's not ALL porn, I swear! Rated M for sex (I had to say it eventually) and angst...lots, and lots, of angst (hey, where did you think Airaen got all that angst! Teen hormones alone?). As soon as I find out where I put the $# file on my computer, I'll let you guys know about the length. Yes, I was almost done with it, yes, it was really good, and yes, I am upset about losing it. Romance/Drama. Mister Hero: What is it that makes Link so special? Ten-year-old Zelda can only wonder as she watches little Link leave the garden at Hyrule Castle. Character study through the eyes of everyone's favorite princess. These are just a few ideas I came up with; please let me know what you think via e-mail! Should I pursue them? TO ALL FANS WHO COME TO THIS SITE! I AM COMING BACK. THERE IS NO NEED TO WONDER WHERE THE HELL I HAVE GONE. WITH EACH UPDATE FOR EACH STORY, I WILL LEAVE A HEARTFELT APOLOGY, MAINLY IN COL AND HOAW, SINCE THOSE SEEM TO BE THE MOST POPULAR, APPARENTLY. I AM SO SORRY THAT THIS HAS HAPPENED, BUT IF YOU WANT FURTHER INFO, LOOK FOR MY UPDATES. THEY ARE COMING...EVENTUALLY. JUST KNOW THAT I AM RETURNING AT ONE POINT OR ANOTHER! HOPEFULLY WITHIN THE NEXT WEEK OR SO. | |||||||
