Author has written 17 stories for Lord of the Rings. I never really thought of myself as a writer, but for some reason, Lord of the Rings really inspired me to give it a shot. It's the movie trilogy's fault, really-- I found myself dissatisfied with its explanation for Eowyn's actions in riding to the Pelennor, wishing the book had explored her motives more since she ended up being one of my two favorite characters in them, and that's how my first story started. And then it snowballed from there. My stories tend to be bookverse and center mostly around Eowyn, Faramir and Eomer, since Eowyn and Faramir are my favorite Middle-earth couple and I'm obsessed with Rohan (as if my screenname didn't give that away!) I'm also quite fond of Eomer and Lothiriel as a couple, so we'll see if she eventually makes more than a cameo appearance. My other favorite fandoms, even though I haven't written anything in them, are Pirates of the Caribbean, Chronicles of Narnia, any Jane Austen books (and Pride and Prejudice in particular), and Stargate (both SG-1 and Atlantis). Though I'm a fan of waaaaay too many other books and movies to list them all here. That would practically fill a novel by itself. In the real world, I work more-or-less full-time in music, and part-time at a a garden center. But I'd like to think I'm not the typical flute diva. After all, I really do like horses and swords. Notes on the stories: For the most part, I'm trying to keep events consistent between the stories, since they're mainly based on the books. The exceptions are Two's A Crowd (my one quasi-success at parody), The Hands of a Healer (my one attempt at movie-verse), and Simbelmyne and Lost at Sea (both of which are more AU than what I usually write). Several of the one-shots tie into the same timeframe as An Act of Desperation, though most often from a different perspective. To Hope's End and Heart's Breaking lines up with chapter 12, Distance is set with chapter 22, Until the Stars are All Alight falls kind of in between chapters 26 and 27 (though this one could possibly be considered an AU), and The Steward and the King happens during chapter 27. The Best-Laid Plans was originally a stand-alone story, but I've recently altered it a bit to tie it in better with events I'm currently writing in AAOD. (And to fix a few problems that the story had anyway.) That takes place after the part that's up so far, but before the end of RotK. As for the others, Eyes Wide Open and The Time That Is Given Us both pre-date the events in LOTR. Shadow and Hope is pre-TTT (same timeframe as FotR, but set in Rohan). A Moment of Weakness is set during TTT (during the "Journey to the Crossroads" chapter.) The Last Traces, Promises to Keep and Reassurance all take place after both LOTR and An Act of Desperation.
