I am a portrait painter and I write because existing without creating is not an option. It's difficult to schlepp around a studio easel so I discovered a note pad works much better and I can transcribe my words when I get back to my keyboard. Writing is not as easy for me as painting; I polish and re-write compulsively but it is a particular joy when all the words fit properly like a very large jigsaw puzzle.

I have been posting here for nearly a year and seem to have evolved over that time into what I call a 'super specialist' in that I write only Nooj-centric stories. It is my nature to explore a limited field in as much depth as I can which is, I suppose, why this concentration. The stories have also gotten darker, the the point where they are approaching the limits of postability on this site. I have not the slightest idea where all this will end up. What I do know is that I have not nearly finished with my turning over of rocks and delving into dark corners. I shall continue to explore this single character until I am satisfied that I have completed my mapping of the man. Main characters in stories and games mostly bore me. They are too obvious in every way.

So I shall not change my theme or my purpose. However, I shall persist in doing reviews of the stories which catch my eye. If I think you write well, I shall say so. If I do not like your efforts, I will say that as well. Fair warning: I do not make exceptions for youth or other special pleadings. I ask none for myself and do not offer such to others.
