I've changed my "pen name" on here many times before. It's been everything from Dulcet Downing, Chrysta Bella, to Dark Is The Sex. It seems to change with my mood. Right now I have no true pen name. Therefore I am, simply, Laurent Forever.

Laurent is a character from a series written by Stephenie Meyer. As of now, the only two books in print are Twilight and New Moon, with the third, Eclipse, to be released in August of 2007.

He is a very minor character, not focused on very much, but he intrigues me. He has a total of three appearances throughout the first two books, but I cling to those paragraphs, doing what I can to figure him out.

"I would sum Laurent up thusly," Stephenie said in response to some of my questions, once. "Laurent is a weak-willed person who is drawn to people with stronger convictions than his own. .. Nothing gets too strong a hold on our Laurent, though."

Of course, the description was much longer than that. I'm writing several fanfictions right now, one of which is actually on here, that have Laurent as once of the main characters. I've done the best with that I've been told. :)

I should explain a bit about "Meet Me At Dusk." One night I was sitting at my computer, pondering. If Laurent developed an attraction toward anyone, who would it be? I think it's a given that anyone who has read the stories sees that he has an admiration for Irina, but that sort of infatuation is expected, considering who she is.

Laurent would crave someone weaker than himself, wouldn't he? He would want someone who was capable of making him feel powerful and stronger than he is. Someone fragile... This is where that story ended up going. You'll have to read it and see if you want to know more!
