My name is Melissa and I am 20 years old.

As you can tell, in almost everyone one of my stories there is a character named Melissa. Now, these characters are very loosly based off of myself so please do not think I am cocky when I complement the characters on a certain part of their looks or personality.

My Hobbies: I keep really busy. I am extremely active in an amazing philanthropy called Thon that raising money for the fight against pediatric cancer. I am extremely active within my theater group at Penn State called NRT, putting on free shows in a lecture hall every week ranging from 2 person performances to large musical productions and incredible performances of Shakespeare. I also enjoy singing. I sing for the Oriana Singers at PSU and I've had some real cool experiences singing at the state and regional level. I enjoy dancing (though I do not do it at a high level-just for fun). Recently been learning a little bit of Salsa. In my free time I watch alot of TV, read novels, listen to alot of music, practice for all my afformetioned activities, hang with friends, write for this site, and surf the net.

My Academic Interests: I am a student at Penn State University majoring in Public Relations with a minor in Sociology.

My Fictions:- Slowly but shirley coming out with new chapters about once every 4 months or so.

Life Goes On and People Grow Up: Complex plot but I have given it the back seat in hopes for being quicker with my more popular fics.

That is why I love the things you do: This is a one shot song fiction with a song that I wrote myself (and one of the few songs I have ever completed writing). Lily and James go to a masked ball and end up tripping over love.

Evils of Perfection: Constantly, Lily Evans is seen as perfect in the books. I have felt what it's like to think you have to constantly have to be perfect and what it's like to be around a seemingly perfect friend. Hence the birth of this story. Will be HP7 relevant. Told from various perspectives.

LiveLearnLove: This is my way of addressing my own love life through writing. I wanted to give Lily a realistic love life so I based it off my own experiences.

Lily's Curse: My most popular fiction! The story of how Lily loses her beauty in a game of chance and is forced to switch into Hogwarts looking like the muggle version of a witch. With love her beauty can return but who would love this girl?

Hero: My only fic right now not about L/J. A bit of fluff for the R/HR people (we won yes!) set in their 5th year- pre lavender. A song fic to obviously the song Hero.

Just Trying to Live Life: A labor of Love with long chapters and well planned plot. Slowly develops but hopefully has less typos and is alot more thought out.

How I see the Characters:

I really think a lot about how I see Lily. I can rarely find a picture I think looks like her because I see her as such a mix of beautiful and strong (not saying that strong can't be beautiful). She needs to be soft with freckles yet have a fire to her beyond her red hair. She shouldn't be traditionally beautiful or model like but when looking at her, undeniably gorgeous. (Shannon Shultz)

I think about James's appearance a lot as well. He must be something I can imagine Harry Potter looking slightly like but so overly attractive, you can imagine every girl throwing themselves at him. He needs to look cocky yet warm, mischievous yet sincere.

I think Sirius would look something like John Mayer. He has to have undeniably sexy and brooding but also have a friendliness. He needs to look like a rebel with a good heart. He's that kid that every girl drooled over in high school. And he also needs to look like he's hott and he knows it. (John Mayer)
