Hey, guys - PyroPadawan here. Never thought to actually give myself a bio before now, so I'm trying this out, just in case anyone wants to hear about me. You never know, right?

About Me

I am currently finishing my senior year in high school, and I will be attending college next fall. I am planning to major in psychology with plans of becoming a counsellor or a therapist, and minor in creative writing, as I am interested in writing some original fiction - and getting it published (fingers crossed). I am also considering criminal psychology, and I know that I will take at least one course, particularly in criminal profiling.

I am a huge music lover and consider myself quite the audiophile - I like at least one song out of every genre I've ever heard, though I do have certain preferences (especially depending on my mood). My favorite band of all time is Evanescence, and their music has fueled much of my writing. Other favorites include Red Hot Chili Peppers, Megan McCauley, Incubus, Liz Phair (BEFORE SHE SOLD OUT), Nirvana, Hole, Melissa Etheridge, Stevie Nicks, Indigo Girls, Sara Bareilles, Colbie Caillat, and Janis Joplin, to name a few. I also collect movie and television soundtracks.

I also love television: I think it's a great media to create the art of storytelling by showing, for in a movie you have time constrictions, but on TV you can keep going for twenty or so episodes. My top TV shows are Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel, Charmed, Tru Calling, Bones, Criminal Minds, Law & Order: SVU, CSI (the original CSI, accept no substitutes - I think New York is okay but Miami is unacceptable) Ghost Whisperer, and I have just recently become caught up in Fringe. I love JJ Abrams; if anyone else had done Alias I would never have become a fan of that either. Also, the new TNT series Leverage is hysterical as well as really fun to watch.

Movies are wonderful, as well, and I am a huge fan of ones that I become interested in, especially if they are both acted and directed well. Some great movies that I own would be Brokeback Mountain, Cruel Intentions, Dogma, Deeply, Electra (the black and white classic based on the Greek Tragedy with Irene Papas), The Phantom of the Opera, Troy, Tristan & Isolde, and V for Vendetta (this was the most inspiring story I've seen in quite a while).

My favorite actor is David Boreanaz - he is (to me, anyway) the most gorgeous man to ever walk the face of the Earth, and on top of that is a very talented character actor. I found it incredibly impressive the way he managed to shift from Angel (who is a very multifaceted character in and of itself) to Angelus (Angel's evil alter-ego -- David Boreanaz plays a truly amazing bad guy) and then to Seeley Booth on Bones, a smart-ass FBI agent.

My favorite actress is Eliza Dushku, another amazing character actor who brings a spark of life into some pretty unforgettable characters. Her best performance to date is still Faith from Buffy and Angel, but she has done some amazing work and I am looking forward to her reappearance on Dollhouse, which will be premiering (did I spell that right?) on FOX in January.

As for books - I own more than two hundred, myself; I've lost count. I love books, breathe them, live in them. My favorites are too many to name, and one of my biggest pet peeves is people adapting books to movies and absolutely murdering the original source material. The worst offenders to date, in my opinion: Harry Potter 3, 4, and 5; Eragon; Queen of the Damned; and The Mists of Avalon. I also went to go see Twilight in theatres the month that it came out, and I was so shocked and horrified I may never watch an adaptation again.

That's pretty much my life in a nutshell. If any of my readers view this I hope they've gotten a peek into how my mind works. In any case, it's kind of fun in an egotistical narcissistic way to ramble about yourself for this long. Does that make me a terrible person? ;)
