Author has written 13 stories for Lord of the Rings, and Hunger Games. My employment status seems to be up for grabs at the moment. Jus' like everyone else's, I guess. I'm living in the Midwest. I was an English Lit and Writing major in college and love to read...and pretend that I can write. Jane Austen is my favorite author and Tolkien is right behind. Basically, hand me a British novel and I'll be happy. I've started reading quite a bit in the young adult genre. Here are some of my faves: The Wake Trilogy, Max Ride, The Hunger Games, The Mortal Instruments, Percy Jackson, and anything by Neil Gaiman (although, he's probably more adult fiction). I probably read Lord of the Rings fanfiction most of all, but in between updates I'll dig around for Robin Hood (why are there so few stories?), Harry Potter, King Arthur, The Scarlet Pimpernel, and Jane Austen. As a rule, I tend to prefer reading and writing fanfiction about minor characters. Eomer and Lothiriel, for example, are my favorite characters for ff because you get just enough of his character in the books to be interested and almost nothing of Lothiriel so there's plenty of room for the imagination and fresh developments. My The Hunger Games stories: It's probably best to read them chronologically, so you can get the full development of Gale and Madge's relationship, but the stories do stand alone pretty well. Beholden - Katniss doesn't like the suggestion that there might be something going on between Madge and Gale...this story explores what that could possible be. Repaid - Gale's whipping scene from Madge's perspective. Explores her motivation for bringing him the morphling. And So We Run - Some wishful thinking on my part that Madge made it out of District 12...with Gales help. Currently a drabble, but I might expand it. My Lord of the Rings One-shots and Drabbles: The Scout and the Rider: An action-packed exploration of how Aragorn (as Thorongil) would have met Eomer's father, Eomund of Eastfold. Mathoms: More drabbles (oy) written for birthdays, challenges, etc. Slow Journey Out of Doubt: Eowyn relapses into old fears and doubts. Musings: The slightly tangential thought patterns of Faramir as he reflects on his new son, wife, and late brother. (complete) Cameos: A series of drabbles containing random glimpses into the lives of Eomer, Lothiriel, and their friends. (complete) House of Imrahil: A series of drabbles and especially short one-shots featuring the Prince and his family. (indefinite) | |||||||||
