Author has written 22 stories for Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Labyrinth, Corpse Bride, Peter Pan, Beauty and the Beast, Harry Potter, Rock-a-Doodle, X-overs, Nightmare Before Christmas, Pirates of the Caribbean, Merlin, Batman, and Batman: The Brave and the Bold. In my work, you will often find the following: foppishness, polyamory, fetish, pansexuality, matured relationships (as opposed to new romance), characters with life/love/sex experience. I do not write young characters often any more, unless they are children. I tend to favour characters that are at least in their mid-twenties. Adolescents rarely crop up as main characters, unless they are in historical context (and, therefore, not part of 'teen culture', as that was created in the 1950s). I do beta, though I will warn you--I am a demanding beta. I will rip apart style, technique, and flow that I find lacking, with no patience for a 'first fic' or any other excuse. I will ferret out mary-sues, and demand you know the intricate psychology of your characters. I am harsh with female original characters in fan-fiction, though I am gentler with male ones. I do not tolerate cheap and insensitive plot devices (rape is one that seems to be a perennial favourite among the masses), and, finally, I am an English Snob--I spell things the way the rest of the world spells them, not the way Americans spell them. - Melanthios, 30th November 2008 | |||||||||
