How do you say your name?

The two words in my name came from two different sources, both... equally nerdy, I'd say. XD

In high school, my friend (Aeris Ultimavara on this site) was obsessed with the Lord of the Rings movies, and found something that could translate our real names into Elvish (she was in love with Legolas/Orlando Bloom, haha). There were various options for my real name, Paula, so I chose one that looked the coolest and the least dirty-sounding (I mean, Tittie and Titye? No thanks), so Pitye [pit-tee-eh] it was.

Also, when I was younger, I read Katharine Kerr's Deverry/Westlands fantasy series (never finished, though. :S), and her books always included both a pronounciation guide and a glossary. One day, I flipped to the back of the book for the glossary, because I wanted a two-part author name for this site. Elcyion immediately stood out, and I didn't mind the meaning of it (although it wasn't my favorite thing, either). The original entry was Elcyion Lacar: which was the terminology for the elves in the books, I think (and literally meant "bright spirits/fey"). I never really knew how to properly pronounce Elcyion, and never tried, because I've only had to write/type it. But looking at the pronounciation guide, I think it's supposed to be [el-key-awn].

Which Tumblr/Twitter do I follow? You have so many accounts!

I tend to keep my personal blogs separate from my fan ones for some reason. I totally don't mind if you follow both of each of the accounts; I try not to cross-post often.

But, if you happen to like my poetry/original fiction and don't mind miscellaneous reblogs (like Daily What, random stuff, etc.) you should follow my personal accounts (@karimurimu and happy-little-rebellion on Tumblr).

If you want my fanfic updates, extra fanfic things I don't feel like posting on FF.Net or dA, or don't mind romantic/anime/OTP/Kpop-type of reblogs, then you should follow my @elcyionpitye and elcyion-pitye accounts.

I do type a lot of meaningless things on both my Twitter accounts--depending on which one I'm logged into, so I can't save you from my random bouts of thought, (aka my spamming your Timeline).

About me:

I overdose on boba. If it was cheaper, I'd overdose on sushi, too.

I'm mostly shy and introverted in real life, and a bigger nerd with a lot of things than I care to admit. XD

I write mostly for fun, and I think writing fanfiction is a good testimony to the love fans have for a series/movie/etc. and its characters. Screw those authors who hate it. (Even though their books are legit, lol)--and really, fanfiction isn't that much different from making fanart, cosplay costumes, fan videos and other things. Only the types of media differ.
