Author has written 23 stories for Sonic the Hedgehog, Yu-Gi-Oh, and Fruits Basket. I've told myself many times that I'm not going to be one of the old bitter writers who leaves a one-line profile with an angry comment that nobody can understand anymore. It means something to them but who else cares? They deleted all of their stories in self-hate and site-hate a long time ago anyway. They left lengthy posts about how the site was degrading. They deleted their old stories because they were 'not good'. They came here and had fun and made friends and then those friends left too, or maybe those friends have become just as sad and disappointed. This site, as Orin I think put it, is a place for beginnings. It's wonderful for that... with a different outlook, a different subject, a different structure, it could be a lot more... but then, there are other and better sites for that kind of thing. For what it is, I think it's pretty damn good. Hi. I'm Chaos Flower. I usually don't go on like this, but nobody seems to write anything like this, so here's my bit. If... it could make a difference to somebody, infact anybody... I would be happy. This site... I think... isn't a place where you can become an amazing, well-respected, popular writer. It's like winning the lottery if you do. For all those that leave, others join, others learn. This is a place where you can post (to a degree) whatever you want, where you can learn and sometimes be helped, where you can show off to others what you can do without any real commitment. For that, it's wonderful. It's fantastic. And people complain too much about it. For me... I made and am making good friends here, like a good percentage of you all. I don't review much anymore, though I do read. My updates are infrequent. My reasons/excuses dismal at best. For me, this is a thing I sometimes do in my spare time only, about the fun of writing, about the people, and about relaxation. I'm not getting a big meaningful thing down on paper... err, text. This is me, and my corner of the site. If it helped you... think about doing the same thing for others. Writers who become disillusioned and leave an empty profile and maybe one or two stories scattered around are not helpful to the aspiring writers. They're depressing if anything? Something like this, I hope, could make the site a better place. Or make people see what a great place it is. Hey kids, it's shameless plug time! My deviantart account.
