Author has written 3 stories for Jane Austen, Twilight, and Harry Potter.

Dear Readers,

It is...interesting that many of us who fill out our profiles would think that people care about the author behind the stories. But should you express some interest...

THE WAIT IS OVER! I'M IN COLLEGE!! I felt so light and free until I realized that now I have to choose...

I am a high school senior (if you didn't pick that up already)--all complaints of long periods between updates can be directed to my delightful teachers and the sadistic torture society derives endless pleasure from putting its youths through...yes, I'm talking about the college application process.

Actually, to be fair, not all the blame for delayed updates rests upon my teachers. Actually quite a lot of rests on me for circumstances both in and out of my control.

My favorite books:

Crown Duel and Court Duel by Sherwood Smith-a delightful twist on the old Elizabeth Bennet/Fitzwilliam Darcy romance...er,troubles with pride and prejudice, mixed in with a dash of fighting (okay, a lot of fighting), tons of court intrigue, and a refreshing, witty, if initially ignorant, heroine who never quite learns how to expertly use a weapon or the finer points of military strategy.

Pride and Prejudice--Jane Austen is a mistress of revealing and witty dialogue. And who wouldn't fall in love with Darcy who, beneath all the arrogance and rigidity, is really a sensitive, generous, and honorable man.

Dhampir,Thief of Lives,Sister of the Dead,Trator to the Blood, Rebel Fey, Child of a Dead God by Barb and JC Hendee-a half elf, an elemental dog, and a half-vampire woman hunting down vampires in a medieval world where each of their pasts unfolds little by little. Just as you think you understand them or their histories, something changes and everything takes on a broader view.

Anne of Green Gables series-another spin on Pride and Prejudice. I absolutely love all the awkward scrapes Anne finds herself in. My favorite has to be when she got stuck in a roof and had to wait for the owner to return so that she could get out.

The Year of Magical Thinking by Joan Didion-best read if you've lost someone dear in your life, otherwise it might not make sense (I read it before someone I loved died and then I read it again afterward)

The Last Silk Dress by Ann Rinaldi-A Southern family, set amidst the beginning of the Civil War, that has been split apart by new sins that are but repetitions of deeply-seated injustices

Equus-not a book but a play. Still, it's amazing. You've probably heard of it...Daniel Radcliffe was in it, caused a big deal because he had to go nude

Books that I have respect for (and like):

Madame Bovary-Flaubert keeps the characters under his thumb at all times, not for a moment do they have a life of their own. Incredible mastery. Best read in French, but you can read it in English

Pierre et Jean-Peter and John in English, but you have to read it in French to get the most out of it. Look for Madame Bovary parallels

As I Lay Dying-I don't actually like this book, but how Faulkner kept all of his characters straight and managed to coherently jumble up all of the truths and timings is beyond me and is absolutely incredible. You've gotta give the guy credit

My favorite authors:

Tamora Pierce (Song of the Lioness Quartet, The Immortals Quartet, Protector of the Small Quartet, Trickster's Choice and Trickster's Queen, Terrier)-Yeah, I wish I lived in the Tortall universe

Stephenie Meyer (Twilight, New Moon, Eclipse)-Makes one wish she could find an Edward...or that there were other "vegetarian" vampires out there

J.K. Rowling-you should know what books she's written, but in case you've been asleep under a rock, the Harry Potter series

My favorite movies:

Pirates of the Caribbean

She's the Man

Pride and Prejudice

Mr. and Mrs. Smith

Lord of the Rings

Miscellaneous: My new favorite musical is SPRING AWAKENING! It's amazing! I absolutely love the soundtrack (Don't Do Sadness/Blue Wind, Totally F...ed, The B..ch of Living, Touch Me, The Dark I Know Well, Mama Who Bore Me, My Junk) and the lighting is SO cool. My other favorite rock-type musical is Rent. Then I like the traditional ones like Man of La Mancha, The Sound of Music, and Les Miserables. Wicked is good too (Stephanie Block, who now plays Elphaba on Broadway is amazing--Defying Gravity sends chills through me). So is The Lion King. I also like Pippin. And Cats, but mostly because I met all of the cats backstage.

Er, yeah, so that's a little bit about me. You can probably guess my interests.

Thank you to all for the wonderful reviews over the past two and a half years and the past few months. I cannot express how much they have meant and mean to me--some have made me cry. Thank you.
