Author has written 17 stories for Kingdom Hearts, Misc. Plays/Musicals, X-overs, Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, Final Fantasy VII, and Misc. Books. Last total profile rewrite: 05/18/09 If you can't pronounce my pen name, don't worry, I can't either. Recently a few of my buddies started calling me "Ther," a shortening of my real name. (Omygosh that's the first nickname I've ever had. TT~TT) Go head and call me that if you like. I feel like trying it out. My fandoms are very limited, as I neither read much, watch much tv, or play many videogames. I am usually not pleased with what I find, anyway, so I'm @#-bent working on my original creations, trying to do better. I drive myself insane. I am now 19; I've ideas for about four novels which I've been committed to since I was roughly 13, but which I never felt quite ready to tackle. But this past semester I happened to not have taken any classes, so I figured the time was finally right to focus on a few old projects, FINALLY developing my ability to write being one of them. Poor LJ never knew what hit it. Please let me now declare myself the unmatched 'Queen of Aimless Ramble'. I'd like to put that phase behind me now, and focus on not-so-aimless pursuits. (Well, actually, the aim was grammar and "voice" from the very beginning, and I don't think it was a waste of time at all. Reading all that I wrote, however, might be. See for yourself, if you care.) Next phase I'd like to enter is still a practice one, but much, much more directed, and the very last before I begin to grind my four old novel ideas; I happened to've had a TON of (what I think are) AWESOME plot ideas about the origin of the Kingdom Hearts character Ansem, and so it'll be his fanfic-biography that I will attempt to write. It's not guaranteed to be great, because it, being my first decent length project ever, is likely to be riddled with flaws. Flaws that I'd rather get out of my system before I plunge into writing the stories that I really care about. That, and stories about mad scientists make me feel warm and fuzzy inside. :3 (Random thought at this moment: I can honestly chew the garlic in this soup. xP ) That said, my favorite author is Robert Louis Stevenson, all because of his writing style, completely apart from the subjects he wrote about. My favorite Author (who is still living) is Alan Lightman, both because of subject matter, and his poetic pen style. I did not like the last two books of Harry Potter at all. J. K. Rowling sounded like she completely lost her concentration there, and only wrote them to get it done. No love in the words. My favorite books... Tough, because I don't read much, as I said. I am, however, currently enjoying Frankenstein (for the first time) through and through (and through, and through, and through). And the unaltered/unabridged Treasure Island, (Aaah, the good oldies!), because I admire how carefully structured the plot was, and because the impression I got of the author's feelings towards his own text was that he really did enjoy writing it. (Am I wrong? Does somebody--a RLS history buff--know? 'Cause I found out my impression of his feelings toward writing Jekyll and Hyde was spot-on. And, years ago, when my English teacher failed to mention Homer was blind, I figured it out by his writing.) My favorite movies are Jet Li's HERO (#1 fav by far), Spiderman 2, Ironman, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, and Pirates of the Caribbean (CotBP, only). That said, you'd probably learn more about me by what movies I don't like. (Star Wars, Advent Children, Transformers, just to name a few.) That said, just believe me. Figuring it out will probably rip a hole in the known universe. Favorite genre... probably scifi-fantasy-horror blend. Throw action-adventure in there, too, but make it meaningful. That said... I like fables. I love em love em love em. But don't ask me why, or I might exercise my well-practiced powers of ramble on you. (Even now, you just narrowly escaped that fate; I deleted about three paragraphs of in-depth analysis.) That said, I hope you'll be able to find my love of fables reflected in my longer writing. ...Please enjoy! And thanks for actually reading this whole long mess. (You're my best friend now!) "Forgive O Lord all my little jokes on Thee that I may forgive Thy big one on me." —Robert Frost "A ship in harbor is safe, but that is not why ships are built." —Fortune Cookie "All that is necessary for evil to succeed is that good men do nothing." —Edmund Burke "Flying is learning how to throw yourself at the ground and miss." —Douglas Adams "One who knows how to laugh at himself will never cease to be amused." —Fortune Cookie I swear, I live by these. :P | |||||||||||
