When I found fanfiction.net five years ago, I was amazed at all the beautiful stories floating around, just waiting to be discovered! I couldn't wait to come and be one of those authors to unlock the stories that were in my head, just waiting to be found and explored. Countless hours I spent finding a place among wizards, buccaneers and elves that no one but myself could tap in to. But after a while, the good stories on this website all went away and were replaced by horrible, second-rate stories, written by people who just wanted to write to get reviews and be popular... what happened to writing merely for the pure love and joy of writing?
