Author has written 24 stories for Buffy: The Vampire Slayer, Angel, Hairspray, Battlestar Galactica: 2003, and She's the Man. You may notice a lot of my old fics popping up suddenly-- I'm feeling nostalgic and wanting to archive them somewhere besides my LiveJournal. I write one-shots. My attempt at writing a chaptered fic, The Violence of Existing, is testament to how I cannot maintain momentum on chaptered fics. I admire people who can do it, but I recognize my own strengths and just run with that :) In Buffyverse I write (wrote) a lot of post-series/pre-comics fic that takes off from events in Angel's final episode, Not Fade Away. I realize as I look back on them that people who aren't familiar with those events will probably not understand the 'starting point' very well, so keep in mind that any big battle probably refers to the final show-down in NFA unless otherwise stated. A lot of my Buffy fic is also the result of participating in ficathons and challenges, where I was writing for a person based on prompts over in the LiveJournal community. If you're curious about that, you can follow my "homepage" link and muck around my LJ. My favorite B/A fic that I've written was the last one, La Mariee, that I wrote for last year's IWRY marathon. My 2004-dated stuff is not so great, but I'll leave it up for nostalgia's sake. In Battlestar, I often wrote post-episode fic that took off of emotions or thoughts or themes that were prevalent in a particular ep, so again, I realize in retrospect that the episode is a necessary prompt for the fic. I was particularly inspired by season 3, so most BSG fic ignores the entirety of season 4. I welcome comments, feedback, and critique if you've got it and want to share. | |||||||
