I'm a HUGE Harry Potter fan but I also like LotR, Zelda, Star Wars, DBZ, and a few other fandoms. For the most part I dislike slash except in the cases where the make the person change gender. I no longer like Harry/Ginny since it has recently come to my attention through a variety of other fics that the physical appearances of Lily Evans and Ginny Weasley are a little too disturbing.

Ships

Harry/Tonks-They go really well together. Harry's emotional maturity is way too high and Tonks' is way too low, they balance one another out. Don't really get why JK put the fun loving Tonks with the most boring of the Marauders but I guess he retained some of his prankster-ness in private.

Harry/Luna-Luna I think was the only one that let Harry be himself. Ginny by the end turned into a Mary-Sue and gave me the impression of a golddigger. Luna though seemed to understand Harry and not try to hold any expectations of him that were outrageous.

Harry/Hermione-This is a good ship as long as the writer makes it good and doesn't turn either character into a wimp.

Harry/OFC-This is a really good because it allows the writer to craft a character specifically suited to Harry. Thats not to say make a Mary-Sue but make someone not afraid to argue but also someone that won't be overly demanding of Harry either.

Ichigo/Rukia-While a lot of people will say that this pairing is disgusting due to the dead girl/live guy aspects of it one also has to remember that Ichigo's dad was a shinigami that married a human. So that kinda makes Ichigo half dead already. Also they have a lot more chemistry then Ichigo and Orihime. Rukia will stand up to Ichigo and is not afraid to voice her own opinion about stuff. She'll also outright disobey Ichigo if she feels the need to, something Orihime will never do.

Ichigo/Tatsuki-Mostly for the same reasons as Rukia except that it keeps Tatsuki alive and all that stuff that some people complain about.

Naruto/fem-Haku-I believe that Haku was actually a girl but then again we can never be certain since we never saw an adam's apple on her. She also seems like she'd be better for Naruto than the other girls in the series. She has the same sort of experiences that he had and that would provide a great base for any relationship they had. She also is well trained and could help Naruto alot more then anyone else save Jiraiya.

Naruto/any girl but Sakura-I'm a Sakura and Sasuke hater. I freely admit it. The manga has turned into something that basically makes the Sharingan the most powerful thing on the planet. Forget the Biju, I mean they have been around for centuries and are feared around the world for their abilities. No the Sharingan must be more powerful then the most powerful biju...What a load of bull. Naruto goes well with most of the girls in the series as long as they're not a bunch of Uchiha fangirls. This also hinges on the fact that Naruto isn't an idiot.

Pairings I dislike but can live with

Ichigo/Orihime-Orihime may have feelings for Ichigo and stuff but she's, no offense to those that like her, a retard. The food she makes seems like stuff a pregnant woman would eat. She constantly spouts out annoying and idiotic stuff and no one seems to mind. For me she'd work better with Ishida or Byakuya since she'd probably get the sticks out of their asses.

Pairings I hate

Sasuke/anyone-Sasuke is a fag. He had women throwing themselves at him and he didn't even look. The first person he pays attention to is Naruto...

Ron/anyone-Ron Weasley is an idiot. I have absolutely no idea how JK thought Ron/Hermione would work. In real life they'd have a divorce before the 5 year point. He's also a greedy, jealous ass that believes that everything should be presented to him on a silver platter.

Ginny/anyone-Ginny is a conniving whore. She was looking at Harry when she spoke of dating Dean Thomas. And what Harry was experiencing with the monster in his chest doesn't sound like love, sounds more like lust. My bet is Ginny's slipping him a love potion. Also Ginny's appearance is just a little too much like that of Lily.

Sakura-Sakura is a whore. She'd willingly sleep with the Uchiha if he asked, not that he would being gay and all. My bet is the moment Uchiha rejoins Konoha she'll abandon Naruto and going back to being the Uchiha fangirl she's always been.

Kakashi-He's a douchebag. He'll go on and on about teamwork being the most important thing as a shinobi. Then what does he do? Abandon Sakura and Naruto and focus on training only Sasuke. He'll make the excuse that its to honor Obito but if anyone has read Gaiden then its obvious that Naruto is more like Obito then Sasuke. Naruto is also his sensei's son. Instead of taking him and raising him as his own he abandons him to the abuse.

Fic Types

Harry as a girl-What can I say? I like stories where they make the main character's female but they try to hide it.

independent Harry-Harry should be badass not some weepy, whiny, emo kid.

Dumbledore-bashing-Dumbledore is a controlling man. He feels the need to have his hand in everything. He defends himself by hiding behind the slogan that its for the greater good. Well to that I have this to say, "The road to Hell was paved with good intentions."

Powerful Harry-Harry can't be badass without being uber-powerful, can he?

Harry Potter crossovers-Its nice to read crossovers. They can improve a character's badass-ness by several orders of magnitude.

time travel fics-Its fun to see characters screw around with their own timelines.

I only have one fic and even I know it isn't very good. However, I do think I am relatively good at spotting a good fic so go ahead and check out my favorites and my C2.

Month one:
Mommy, I am only 8 inches long but I have all my organs.

Month Six:
I can hear that doctor again. I don't like him.
He seems cold and heartless. Something is intruding my home.
