Ok peeps. Now that I've ranted at the reviewers, its time to rant at the writers.

Authors, DO NOT HOLD YOUR FIC HOSTAGE.

To expound on this I will say. There are in general two types of authors out in the world today. Those that write fics for fun and really couldn't give a damn if they got a review (but enjoy the aknowledgement none the less). Then there are those that write because not only do they enjoy doing so, but because they want the attention writing gives them. Reviews are a drug for them and they will do anything to get them, up to and including holding their written works hostage.

If you've done enough reading, or do this your self you know what I mean. The fic that isn't complete, but only because its sitting on the writers harddrive and not getting posted because the writer thinks (s)he needs more reviews to make it worth their while. Authors Notes that start out with "This fic is almost complete, but I am not posting the next chapter till I get xxx reviews on this chapter". Honestly what the hell are you thinking?! This is the fastest way to send your readers SCREAMING for the hills. So they review. This type of hostage taking is the most likely to get the not so well thought out reviews, if for no other reason than to just get the numbers up to get the next chapter. Those that review the fic, then come back to see if its been updated are disappointed cause they aren't getting the next chapter and they KNOW its done. They lose faith in the author, and eventually just quit looking to that fic for entertainment when there are so many more authors out there who can and will provide it and not screw around with their readers.

Frankly, I don't even bother even asking for reviews. If a person liked my story well enough, or they have a question, they'll take the time to review. If not, I'll still know that its been read by going and looking at the hit count on the fic. I have one fic that's going to hit 10,000 hits within the next couple months. To me, that doesn't tell me that no one likes my fic. Digging deeper into that stat I can also tell where some of my readers are coming from. The same fic that has nearly 10,000 hits has been read by people online in over 34 countries around the world. I take this as a bigger accomplishment than seeing 6 million reviews any day.

DreamWalker: Currently on hiatus, may end up abandoned. If it does get abandoned I'll pull it from the site.
Dream a Little Dream: Book Three is in the works. But there is no projected due date as to when it will be out. Sorry not even I could predict 8 years of writer's block on this fic. But it is NOT dead. I think my latest spurt of writing on The Call may have broken my muse loose of the ice and I might actually get something done soon!
Life Unknown: No clue when that will be updated again. I'm working on it little by little. A paragraph here and there. Its been rough lately.
