I've never been much of a AU writer and probably never will be. "What ifs", dreams, songs, etc, all contribute to my inspiration. Ever since I started writing, characterization has been the most important aspect of a story for me. If it doesn't sound like the character, I trash it and try something else. Therefore, fanfics usually take me at least two trys before I feel it's right. I can be slow at updating longer fics, but that's the nature of my muse. I prefer to write one-shots or collections of shorter tales because they fit my updating habits. Lastly, I'm not perfect, but I always spell-check and grammar-check my stories. I also greatly appreciate any kind of feedback, considering I'm always striving to improve. As a reader I go after one-shots mostly. But, like everyone else, I do get sucked into wonderful multi-chapter fics. It just makes me sad when you get far into a fic and then the author decides not to update it anymore. (I'm never mad at the author, just disappointed at the loss of a story.) I'll write a review if I can think of something constructive to say; I rarely will just simply put 'I liked it'. I always review before I favorite a story, or put it on alert. As for topics, I have my share of favorite pairings and characters that I hunt down fics for. Sometimes I'll just search a category and come up lucky. But just as I write canon, I only read canon...most of the time. My awesome avatar was made custom by drewbie. I love it so. Unfortunately, due to the size restrictions I had to downsize it and cut it some, so if you can't tell, it's me in a Zoid cockpit. Thanks, drewbie!! Fic News: (November 10th) I've (finally!) made some progress with chapter ten of "Spending Eternity." If all goes well, I hope to have it posted within the next week. This depends on my work load, however. Finals are coming up next week for me, so we shall have to see. Ideas are floating around for a multi-chapter Whistle! fic and a small Zoid one-shot. These are both still in early stages, but I'll see if I can get anything done with them. As for anything else, (such as requests and "Eleven"), I'll need some time to get them together. My first priority is finishing "Spending Eternity." (October 7th) No, not dead...just very, very, very busy with school and other things. I have started chapter ten of "Spending Eternity." As for updating it, I really can't say. School has swamped me with work. Hopefully, I can get it posted soon. (September 2nd) Sorry for the lack of updates, especially for "Spending Eternity". I hope to have it updated within a week or so, but I've just started school again so it may take me awhile to fall back into things. I got ideas written down, but haven't started typing the chapter. Once I do, the next chapter should be up within a day or so. (August 26th) New Fic Posted! "Small Steps" is my Renji/Rukia one-shot that I've been working on all summer. I finally finshed it up tonight, and I'm really pleased with the finished product. As always, feedback is greatly appreciated!! I'm still working on my Zoids one-shot focusing on Raven and Van. That one is going to take a little bit more time to complete. "Spending Eternity" will probably be updated after I move into my college apartment. Unless I get struck with inspiration over the next three days, I'm guessing it will be updated next week some time. Sorry about the wait, haha. As of now, I have at least three more chapters planned.
