I am a member of Deviantart (Deviant Identity is 'Endermon'), Of The Middle Ground forums (www(dot)MGcomics(dot)com; Identity is that of "Des Shinta") and several smaller forums with interesting items.

When Reading Fanfiction I generally like crossovers, Time travel and Alternate Universe fics where a lot of things are done differently from the start.
I like authors who deal with things that the creator's never really realize about a character or plot until they've already wrecked a plotline. I despise the canon directions taken by Masashi Kishimoto and JK Rowling, for their most recent works in their title series contradicts what is stated in other pasrts of their series or constructed by how they told their stories (Admitedly, Kishimoto has been attempting to remedy this as of late, but has yet to relinquish his long stretch of Godmodding Uchiha when there isn't much of a justification for it). I come to this site to enjoy myself, to escape much of what is a dull life, and most of the stories I rate highly enough to be added to my favorites page meets the criteria of interesting, original paths, correct grammer, realism in context, plausibility, and how well the author pulls off character interaction and relationships-- both based on how real people act and the original bases of said characters; amongst an assortment of other rationales. I'm picky with what I read, because a good story is hard to come by when everything these days has been done before.

Think of me as similar to House, but with Fanfics instead of medical cases. I pick my favorites because they interest me the most, and meet my qualifications.

Naruto:
1--In the aftermath of an assault unintentionally started by Sakura, A cold and ruthless Naruto replaces the former personality of the blonde. Vowing to never allow himself to be hurt like that again, The Jinchuriki decides to stop fooling around. And meanwhile, Sakura seeks Redemption for what she caused, becoming a better person and Kunoichi because of it. Should begin a year before the genin exam, for those who believe Sakura isn't an intentional bitch. Eventual NaruSaku.

2-- A book on seals, a small metalworking kit and forge. These two gifts, along with an Assassination attempt trapping young Naruto in a cave outside Konoha, lead him to discovering the the power to pierce the Heavens in his journey to dig himself to freedom. Who the hell do you think we are? Naruto with TTGL elements.

3--Things go differently at the Valley of the End, forcing Naruto to suicide to keep Kyuubi from being released. Two years later, he returns from the dead. His mission from the Goddess Aura: exterminate the Uchiha, eradicate the Akatsuki and bring balance back to the world by awakening Eight avatars of the Gods. Naruto with elements from the Dothack series.

4--When Old man Hiruzen told him that he had the will of fire, he didn't think that was to be taken literally. Though since finding a statue holding the Spirit of Fire, a lot of things have been different. A Naruto/Digimon Frontier fusion.

Yu-gi-oh GX:

1--Yugi unwittingly gave a second card to Jaden (stuck to the back of Winged Kuriboh) when they ran into each other before the academy entrance exams. How would things change if the Elemental Hero user also 'temporarily' possessed a god card?

2--Mokuba Kaiba. Duel Academy. Need more be said?

3--Jaden loses the final Duel against Nightshroud, but isn't sent to the World of Darkness. Instead, he finds himself back home before his entrance exam, all his cards and spirit partners intact. Is this an elaborate deception, or has he really been sent back in time?

Evangelion:

1--Hopelessness and despair did not saturate the lives of every person in the post-second-impact world. Shinji's Guardian happens to be a fan of Super robot series. So when Gendo's son shows up during Sachiel's attack, the Angel wars take a more positive turn. Otaku!Shinji, should utilize good knowledge of Super Robot and Real Robot series.

Scryed:

1--Being a good guardian means doing things you don't like in order to provide opportunities for your charges. Thus, Kazuma takes the initial offer to join HOLY, as long as Kanami can come to the city. An Alteration of Scryed's timeline, feel free to take it from there.

Odd Crosses:

1--Harry knew Supernatural beings existed. His Uncle and surrogate family trapped Ghosts for a Living. He never expected to be one himself, though. A Harry Potter/Ghostbusters crossover.
