No one reads this if you don't write stories, but whatever.

I'm a first year university student studying to become a town planner. I get absolutely no literary joy from any of my subjects at uni and so must resort to alternating between the classics and masters like Dickens, Austen, Edgar Allen Poe, F. Scott Fitzgerald and Orwell to name a few; and the lovely works posted here to satisfy my love of reading.

I only read Doctor Who fics here now because I'm loving the show at the moment even though here downunder we're some months behind the UK. Rose would have to be my favourtie companion because of her vivacity and strength and I truly believe that she wouldn't just sit around in Pete's Universe pining away for our fave 900 odd year old alien. That said, my favourite fics are often those that reunite them in an interesting and inspiring way ( so long as she doesn't start calling him Theta whilst sappily gazing into his "brown puppydog eyes". That phrase is waaaaaaay too over used). I also like the fics that show us Rose's new life in the parallel world being empowered and the Defender of Earth.

My absolute favourite fic here is, however, not a reunion fic. It's Suddenly I See by Simpleserenity, if you haven't read it, you have no idea what you're missing out on. My words cannot describe just how good it is. I bow down the the greatness of Simpleserenity's skill. My favourite series is the Doors one by Reichenbach. The Doctor and Rose plus children and she still manages to write captivating plots even after 13 parts. It's just fab.

I'm also a bit of an anglophile, mother country and all that. So I generally like writers from the UK because they just get all the words and expressions right. Obviously because they were born where they're used. Duh.

Although, I'm totally not a nerd type person. I grew up watching reruns of the classic Who on the ABC, but I'll admit that the marvellous Mr Tennant was the reason my interest in the show was rekindled recently. He is brilliant and fantastic!

I don't write any fanfic. Extension 2 English for the HSC has actually put me off writing for the time being, not that my mark wasn't great, I just loathe being forced to write on command. I review a fair bit though (when I like what I'm reading). I really don't see the point of flaming people, constructive criticism is a way better alternative. I'd be happy to beta for anyone writing Doctor Who fiction.

I hate writers who beg for reviews. If you write something amazing enough, people will take the time and make the effort to review it. Even the offer of TARDIS-shaped biscuits won't induce me unless the story is brilliant in some way. If you get a review from me know that what you're writing is ace.
