I would just like everyone to keep in mind that I am horrible about filling these bloody things out, so do bear with me...

I usually go by Gen or Genesis, but you'll see me referred to as many things, including Captain Kat, Kat, Mama Kat, Emily, Cap'n, and some other unsavory titles that mostly come from my best mate, Rosalyn.

I am recent graduate of the beautiful Grand Valley State University, where I received a Bachelor of the Arts degree in English Language and Literature. I eventually hope to receive my Master's and Ph.D. in English, along with possibly a Master's in history as well. With any luck, I'll be able to get one of those in England, as I've always wanted to live there.

My main fandoms include Pirates of the Caribbean, The Phantom of the Opera, and Labyrinth, though I dabble in quite a few subjects. Pirates in general are my biggest fandom, however, and I run a Pirates of the Caribbean RPG, Devils and Black Sheep.
