UPDATED ON 2/26/09 ~ Just to let people know I'm still out there.

Welcome to the profile of Escape the Shadows. I mainly write fics just about Resident Evil, but who knows, maybe someday I'll write about something else. If the inspiration is there. As of now, all my stories deal with original characters. I find it much more appealing to write about someone new and keep things fresh. In time I may write a story that deals with actual characters from the stories, if only to try something new.

Just a little bit about myself. I'm a very creative person, and because of this, my mind is always running 100 of the time. When I'm not working or at class, I spend most of my time reading, writing, and hanging out with friends. I don't watch much TV save for a couple of shows a week, though I do find myself playing videogames quite a bit, a good distraction from everyday life. I'm currently going to college to learn more about creative writing so that I can become an author. Also, I enjoy music immensely. I'm in two bands right now and am working on joining a third. I play drums and bass mostly, but I've been known to pick up a guitar of play the piano every once and awhile. I listen to mostly hard rock and metal, but I also branch out, listening to stuff like trip-hop, jazz, classical, blues, and other forms of music.

That's about it for me. I'm pretty much just a normal guy that likes books.

Projects -

My first story on this site has been posted. It is called Last Man Standing and it is about a touring heavy metal band that gets caught in the madness of Raccoon City. As of now, it is on hiatus but I have big plans for this particular fic so expect it to make its return in a short time. This is a fic I intend to get through until the very end. Also, this particular fic features some crossovers with Raven Thornheart's story, Resident Evil: Black Ops. My characters from Last Man Standing appear in that fic along with some of my scenes. Also, my fic will utilize some of the Black Ops characters.

New story! Resident Evil: The Collection.The idea behind this one is simple. I wanted to write some short stories. Instead of making them each a different entry, I combined them into one since they all have to do with Resident Evil. Many different writing styles will be used in this as a way of helping me combat writer's block. Plus, I've always enjoyed writing short stories. Updates on this will not be regular, just whenever I feel the need to write something new for it.

Future Projects (In order of importance) -

Blackstone -
This is definitely my next big project, and I must admit, I'm real proud of it. The story centers on Johnny Blackstone who works in a government funded agent made to stop Umbrella from coming back. However, he only joined so that he could find information on his father, an Umbrella scientist who performed experiments on him when he was a child. I wrote this with my brother, and over half of it is actually completed.

Sequel to LMS (Tentatively titled The Shadows of Sanity) -
Sorry to say, but I am not giving any info away about this story. Not now at least. All I can say is it will be quite different than what's normally out there.

Retribution -
About a group of Umbrella employees who are tired of being ruled by fear. Led by Daniel Crescent, they consort amongst each other, forming a plan to expose Umbrella and its deeds. However, not everything can fall into Dan's perfectly laid plans.

Another Outbreak Story -
Yes, you read that right, I'm thinking about doing another story on the citizens of Raccoon City. This one will focus much more on character devolpment and to be honest, there will be much more gore. It will probably end up being M.
