(updated: 5-2-2008) My name is Pokey1984 although sometimes people refer to me as Diane. I am female, a redhead, and a huge scifi fan. My idea of a perfect afternoon is sitting outside with my cd player and a really good book. My fanfic interests are varied and random. I read a lot of Star Wars, Harry Potter, Buffy, Stargate mostly. I would read more in the other fandoms I like if there was more available.
I am a newly employed member of productive society now with a (slightly dented) car to pay off (only one payment left, thank goodness) and therefore don't have as much time for the computer as I used to. My interest hasn't waned, but when one is working second shift it's hard to organize ones life. You'd think I could manage after a whole year (yay me! officially my longest lasting job ever) but I'm still working things out. If you need to reach me, I wish you luck.
I've written a few stories and I've been told a couple of them are readable. Several of my stories haven't been updated in a while, but I haven't abandoned them completely, as evidenced by my recent update of Burden of Choice. I will finish most of them, eventually. Please, let me know what you think and feel free to e-mail me anytime. :)
By the way, did I introduce y'all to my friendly muse? His name is Fred and he is responsible for all my Star Wars stories. He left a while back, but he's back and complaining about his sunburn, so I might actually have to write something and shut him up. If something isn't satisfactory, blame Fred, it's his fault.
See Ya,

9-21-2006: As everyone knows, I haven't updated my Stargate SG-1story From Another World in a ridiculously long time. The story was badly planned and poorly written and I've more or less given up on it at this time. Someday, I hope to finish it, if only for me, but that day seems to be far in the future.
In the meantime, Michael Palmer ( mpalmer89 user number 1074951) has asked for and received permission to continue the story. He's got some really interesting ideas and I am greatly looking forward to seeing what he does with it. Just to keep things clear, he won't be using any of my work except what's been posted here. Other than tossing some ideas back and forth, I have had nothing to do with his continuation of this story (which is probably a good thing, considering the mess I made out of the beginning.) He does, however, have my full permission, cooperation, and support.
Please, if you've liked the story so far, take a look at his work. I've put the story in my favorites and listed Michael's user id above.
Thank you,
-Pokey1984
