I heart my cousin... this was posted on his facebook and I absolutely ADORE it! That way, no one will care if it cuts itself or not." 9-05-09 I absolutely HATE it when people call me an idiot and leave no way for me to explain myself. I know I'm giving this review WAY too much importance by doing this, but I want people to understand WHY I get so pissed about an insulting review that leaves no way to refute it. So, to that cause- "From: Stuart Brotherhood () You crossed the line from being a decent writer to being an idiot in one ANSWER- I never described Harry as being "absolutely tone deaf" and here's why- Tone deafness is the lack of relative pitch, or the inability to discriminate between musical notes. Being tone deaf is having difficulty or being unable to correctly hear relative differences between notes; however,!! in common usage, it refers to a person's inability to reproduce them accurately. The latter inability is most often caused by lack of musical training or education and not actual tone deafness.!! The ability of relative pitch, as with other musical abilities, appears to be inherent in healthy functional humans. The hearing impairment appears to be genetically influenced, though it can also result from brain damage. While someone who is unable to reproduce pitches because of a lack of musical training would not be considered tone deaf in a medical sense, the term might still be used to describe them casually. Someone who cannot reproduce pitches accurately, because of lack of training or tone deafness, is said to be unable to "carry a tune." -While some people might not research what they write, you will find that I ALWAYS have an answer... even if it's just that I forgot. However in THIS case, DON'T call me an idiot! (also- edit your damn note, you're missing words to be properly insulting). On a more personal note, I do have a friend who is, as they say, unable to carry a tune in a bucket; however he does enjoy listening to music, and he is who I based this aspect of Harry's personality on. My sister was watching me like I was a fruitcake, all I could gasp out to her was that I was a dork, that's why I got the inside joke! 5/15/09 "There is no end to a good movie until you've seen a gimp toss." - my sister during the end of Tokyo Gore Police... trust me, you have to see this thing... it's... incredible is the only word i have for it. Seriously... the laws of physics do not apply... and it looks really odd when a lady police officer salutes with an alligator head arm. 02/09/09 OK, this is a note for all of you who find my Numb3rs crossover hard to read... It IS out of order. Not for any reason other than I'm still working out the kinks. I know, I KNOW I've mentioned it in my Author's Notes. Apparently my brother-in-law found out that he could change the setting on the DVR and made the headings all green. My sister just thought that the company changed their format so she didn't say anything until he got frustrated and was like, "The screen is all green." and she immediatly looked at him and was like, "What did you do?" He still has no idea how to be subtle, so he was all flustered and "how did you know?" so that happened a few days ago, and apparently she's been messing with the settings herself. I just saw them today, it looks like a tye-dye tee-shirt threw up on the screen. So I asked the above question. and at her answer i couldn't stop laughing... seriously, my stomach still hurts!) Well into January and my computer decides to break. I can still use it, and I uploaded all my storys latest pieces parts into my e-mail so i can highjack my sisters computer if it becomes nessesary... please dear gods don't let it be nessesary! 01/23/09 When asking my sister about the difference between a Type A personality and a Sociopath... I will say that i have no problem with slash. i read it occasionally, occasionally it's even well written. i have no problem with same sex relationships. i say if you can find love, keep hold of it. but i have to say this. Xander will NEVER fck Spike OR Angel. and here's why- they're fck'n corpses! they are demonically animated corpses. and if ANYONE had a problem with that, it would be Xander. thats all. thanks for letting me get that off my chest.
