9/19/09: NEVER LET ME WRITE AUTHOR'S NOTES WHEN I'M TIRED AND/OR SICK! I made it seem like I wasn't going to work on Untried Guardians anymore when that was far from the truth. I should never post when I'm sick.

9/14/09: I can write!! I'm working on the next chapter of Untried Guardians (technically I'm working on 15 and 16 since they're interconnected) and I'm puttering around with a couple ideas for SGA. Hopefully in a month I'll be able to work on Orbits. I'm just happy I've been able to write. RL issues are being resolved and I doing better dealing with things.

7/6/09: Yes, it's been forever and a day since I've written anything. Those pesky RL issue have exploded, leading me to find out what one exactly has to do to get a restraining order against someone. Then I post something that isn't even one of my WIPs. I'm trying to find my writing muses and to do so I signed up for the cliche bingo out on LJ. Now we'll see where life taeks me next.

3/8/09: I know I haven't updated in a while. There are some major RL issues going on. I've also joined the staff at the Stargate Awards and that is also keeping me busy. It's the RL issues that are hanging me up since I'm dealing with some serious issues concerning my son and family. I'm not sure when I'll start writing again but you people will be the first to know.

12/6/2008 : Just some housekeeping issues. Right now I'm working on Orbits. I think I finally overcame the most recent block and figured out exactly where I want this story to go. I'm moving the 'Artistic License for the Orbits Universe' to my live journal at http://sqweakie.livejournal.com/3243.html. Post any questions over there. Hopefully the next chapter will be up within a month.

10/9/06 - I figured I would share this with everyone. This was my response to a message sent to me. It explains why I haven't updated any of my stories in the past couple of months and why UG's been over a year.

I probably owe you and all of my faithful and anxious readers an apology. When I last updated UG (over a year ago, wow) I hated the story. I had writers block and forced myself to complete the chapter. Instead of something I loved to work on, I hated the story. I hated writing for a time so I walked away. I had to find what I loved about it and find new inspiration. Months passed and I got a new idea. It wasn't for UG but it wouldn't leave me alone so I started Orbits of Glass. I paced myself and tried to avoid the trap that I fell for with UG. UG got to big for me and I had to walk away and go a different direction.

Months passed, winter turned to spring and spring turned to summer. With summer I started to look for a house to buy of my own. I found it and bought it and it took up all my spare time. I even dreamed about painting and fixing up my house.

In August, I finally picked up my hardcopy of Untried Guardians and read it for the first time in a year, falling in love with it all over again. I started playing with it in my few precious moments of spare time. I figured I would have the time to work on it once I finished moving into my new house.

Well, nothing in my life ever goes as planned. About three weeks ago my mom was diagnosed with a brain tumor on her brain stem near where the spinal cord exits the skull. It's in a bad spot and next monday she is going down to UW-Madison for brain surgery, a ten to fourteen hour procedure. Needless to say my brain is mush, I'm trying to paint and work on my house completely by myself. Me and my whole family is worried sick about my mom. I've been spending as much free time with her and trying to clean and cook and take care of things since she is feeling weak and gets tired very easily right now.

I haven't giving up on UG or my other two stories. I've tried to sit down and write. After about an hour all I have is a blank sheet of paper.

I will have a new chapter for Untried Guardians up by the end of the year, same for Orbits of Glass and The Witch Doctor Incident. It may take a couple of months but give me time. In my life my family comes first and then my job. I enjoy writing but it gets pushed to the back burner when I don't have the time.
