APRIL 16, 2006 -- I finally finished "Duty of a King." Yay! Btw, a blessed and happy Easter to everyone. "He is risen!" MARCH 4, 2006 -- New update about the "Wait for the Sunrise" Mithril Award's status. I've been announced as a Semi-Finalist! MARCH 3, 2006 -- Just a quick update. I'm now a Dance minor and still an English major. Working hard in Bibliography and Reserach this semester, a class that is seriously taking over my life... So, I haven't had much time for fan fiction. However, I do have some exciting news. My "Wait for the Sunrise" story has been nominated for the 2005 Mithril Awards, and I received an email today notifying me that it has currently reached Quarter Finalist status. SEPTEMBER 11, 2005 -- Hey, all:) I'm at a new college this fall in Mississippi. My sophomore year is looking great so far, and so is my double major in Dance and English! Sorry I haven't updated in so long, but I hope to write more soon. JUNE 21, 2005 -- Well, summer finally arrived and now I'm back home in the MOUNTAINS and it's WONDERFUL! I'm working full time, but that's okay...gotta save that money for college. :) I'm still working on my English major, and am hoping to add Dance to make it a double major. But for now, I'm just sitting here typing away late at night in my room with my purring kitty sprawled out on my lap. It's very nice to be home. :) I have written a new poem, "Shadow of a Dream." I hope to finish the in-progress final chapter of "Duty of a King" soon. Please keep reading and reviewing! God bless! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ BIO: So I'm Vané Alasse (Elvish for "beautiful joy," a translation of my real name) and I'll be posting my Lord of the Rings poetry and stories here. I live on the west coast of America near lumbering rivers, snow-capped mountains, the ocean, forests, waterfalls, and hot, golden hills. Can you tell I love this place:) I love to write, of course, and am an aspiring author. I'm also on Fiction Press under the pen name Joyce Reid. Here's the link: http://www.fictionpress.com/~joycereid. I'm on barrowdowns.com, too, with a smaller selection of the fanfiction.net stories and poems. If you like the writing displayed under my name you might also be interested in reading "Seven Stars Set in a Silver Sea," a collaboration between myself and my friend, Daughter of Elessar. While you're at it, check out some of her writing, it's pretty entertaining... :) I am a Christian, as some of my poems will demonstrate. I believe beyond a doubt that the only true salvation comes from Jesus Christ. I hope to use my writing for the glory of God. I know Jesus died for every person: me, you, and all people. He loves you and is just waiting for you to answer the call everyone feels in their hearts: the need for the all-knowing, merciful, caring, true God. He is holding eternal salvation for you, and all you have to do is believe. If you have any questions, feel free to ask me:) God bless! My favorite authors are: I love:
